Take a look at his support for illegal aliens, his making known, unofficially of course, to Priests in his Archdiocese that he really doesn't care for the Tridentine Mass, his condemnation of Scalia over his remarks about the death penalty and the historical teaching of the Church, his silence over Scalia’s dissent in Nebraska vs. Carhart, his refusal to crack down on liturgical abuses in his Archdiocese, etc. Chaput is a big improvement over Stafford and several orders of magnitude better than Casey but he isn't the "great" shepherd that many outside of this Archdiocese portray him to be. At best he is an enigma.

What does he TEACH Catholics in the Diocese? Is he teaching error? The issues you mentioned are not related to Doctrine, but political situations, or matters of preference with regard to the liturgy.
