Thank you again.
“I hate that pop-culture has redefined “hero” into meaning famous. This book is full of people who I’m sure wouldn’t call themselves heroes, but should be recognized as such.”
You are correct.
Since I don’t live in the U.S., I will order it through Amazon.
Again, thank you.

For a great many weeks after 9/11 a few DC Chapter Freepers, myself included, paid our respects every Saturday just up the hill from where the plane struck the Pentagon. All those who came out on those Saturdays - chime in.

BKO, a good acquaitance of the DC Chapter was on United Flight 77. The Valentine brothers have read her book, Hell to Pay, many times.
I remember a specific afternoon when a gentleman marched up to the construction area late on a winter Saturday. He unlimbered his bag pipes and played "Amazing Grace." My eyeballs got a good washing then. When he finished, he put away his pipes, saluted and marched away. Never saw him again.
Thanks for posting. I heard most of this interview live.
Bump for later reading
