Is Drudge shilling for Obama?
Drudge Report ^ | 5/24/08 | Krankor

Either Drudge didn't do his homework, or he has it in for Hillary. He makes it seem like the 1968 primary had barely begun when Kennedy was killed. In fact, in 1968, there were only 13 primaries. After June 4, 1968, there weren't going to be any more. In 1968, the Democrat convention started on 8/26 and in 2008 it starts on 8/25. So Hillary's historical instance explanation is feasible.

Lots of people hate the Clintons, wouldn’t be surprised if this was payback for something...

...pretty clear she was only referencing the month of June in presidential years...

...still, paybacks are hell.

He hates the Clintons.

Remember it was his site that started the whole (b)Lewinski affair that Newsweak declined to report on due to Clinton’s party affiliation.

Well, this is big news. What did you want on the Drudge home page, another Lindsay Lohan story?

Why post the same articles 1/2 hour apart with different headlines?

He's just doing his part for Operation Chaos.

As soon as the affirmative action candidate secures the nomination, he will have the sirens up with some breaking news that the Obama campaign will find quite distressing.

Drudge is just reporting the truth... RFK was riding an unprecedented wave of support when he was gunned down. He was... in the minds of most people at the time... a lock for the nomination.

Hillary DOES lie however, when she says her rapist partner didn't wrap up the nomination till June. In actuality, he had it sewn up in late March.

Drudge isn't the only independent news source that hates Hillary. Example Here . . . She really deserves all this negative attention. After all, she stood by Bubba through all the Bimbo scandals.

Drudge ALWAYS does his homework!! If you didn’t watch MSNBC last night, and I am sure you did, then you probably don’t understand the Drudge page. This is all coming from NBC and Soros, who funds Obama to the tune of many many bucks!!

I saw her trying to explain it away and you could see the anger in her eyes.

She shot herelf in the foot and theres no way to puyt it off on anyone else.

People are going to be so tired of her and Bill that when she tries to run again in four years she'll be the equivalent of John F'n Kerry.

I thought Hillary had made peace with Drudge and was leaking stories to him - which must have made him happy since as I recall he was reported to have said at one point “I need Hillary Clinton”.

In the linked video Hillary is being asked why the calls for her to get out and she says she doesn’t know, she doesn’t understand it. She ought to look at the trail of dead bodies she’s left behind and get a clue. To know her is to not be able to stand her.

Drudge is doing fine, and Hillary was clearly sending a message to Obama.

Perhaps she is trying to intimidate him, and weaken his strong resolve.

I seriously think she’s going to have a Dem party primary challenger for her Senate seat. Maybe Mark Greene or somebody. She’s making herself persona non grata.

Actually, he has been carrying a lot of water for them this campaign. There was an article in the WashPost about how a relationship was built with the campaign. Drudge would often be their choice location to leak stuff.

If Hillary wants some historic perspective, maybe she should remember what happened to Benazir Bhutto.

Oooops, I misspoke. I apologize to the entire Bhutto family and I was only attempting to draw an analogy to women who run for office and I regret that anyone might take it out of context.

He hates the Clintons.

Like the left hates President Bush.

He has however lost a lot of respect as he seems to be a lot of Anti-American as well with a lot of anti us Postings.

i never see him post anything good about us any longer.

Hillary was sending the message to Obama that he could get shot. She was also sticking a knife in Ted Kennedy while he is down. Vindictive, dangerous woman.

She won the NY primary 57/40, before any negative stuff came out on Obama. She may have an opponenet, but no way she loses. She is a Senator for Life (in RFK’s senate seat, BTW) if she so chooses.

Personally I think having RFK Jr. come out and defend her will defuse this rather quickly.

He also loves to talk down the economy just like the MSM with his huge headlines in red every time the price of oil goes up a penny. I still reference his site every day but I take his headlines with a big bag of salt.

Do you think if the only candidate left in the race died before the convention the party would be left without a nominee? Ridiculous. The delegates would choose another person. Remember McGovern’s Veep nominee Eagleton bailed out after the convention. No problem, The party central committee, under the rules, substituted Shriver. And how did Lautenberg get the place on the NJ ballot after Torrecelli bailed after the primary?

After reading the comments on the NYT blog this a.m. I came to the same question - is she going to be able to hold her Senate seat?

There is actually an old story about Hillary and Drudge helping each other! And I just read something more recent but don’t have that link.

Old link, scroll down;

Side note: it’s not just anti-Hillary, though I agree he definitely doesn’t like the Clintons. It’s becoming clear that he is actually PRO-Obama. I don’t know if he’s hoodwinked by the smooth delivery of his speechwriter-written speeches, or if he’s following the Popular side amongst his contacts in the press, trying to fit in. But he really does have a pro-obmama slant to his coverage and reporting.

For instance, The Tony rezko vertdict had about 2 hours small type play above the logo (Kennedy on the Veep search had the big headline), then it was moved to 3rd column, and dropped within 24 hours. Token placement if you ask me.

Another example, just from today, these are the Obama vs. McCain links:

Dems pound McCain for new Iraq quote...

Kerry: McCain confused, ‘unbelievably out of touch’...

Obama ‘smoked cigarettes in last few months’... (everyone knows this is a big zero issue, a token anti-Obama line)

MCCAIN: GAS PRICES WON’T DROP...(negative comment)

(McCain) VOWS TO RESTRAIN BIG BUSINESS... (wedge issue)

(McCain) ...SAYS BLOOMBERG STILL A VP CONTENDER (Wedge issue)

Obama and McCain hit old notes on economy... (neutral if anything)

UPDATE: Obama recruits staff to fight web smears... (translation: all attacks on Obama are just smears)

PAGLIA: McCain reading speech is painful spectacle...

DOWD: Demonizing Michelle Obama... (GOP is evil for attacking M.O.)

MCCAIN WON’T APPEAR WITH CHENEY...(tying them with a headline when he’s obviously not associating with the administration)

Does that seem like a balanced representation of the news of the day? Or does it seem, like it does to me, to be significantly harder on McCain than on Obama.
