Google, not surprisingly, has nothing to commemorate Memorial Day on their home page. Just the normal blank page.

While we appreciate the thought, many of us consider Memorial Day to be solemn, at least for a few moments (3 PM today), and a time for remembrance. Happy that we are free to do as we wish whether going to visit a friend or barbecuing at a picnic, yes; but always mindful of the price paid.
