If we don’t pull the lever for the McManiac, how do we keep Barack HUSSEIN and his clique of elitist anti-Americans and Muzzies from taking over Washington?

"Don't say 'we' Kemo Sabe". Seriously, John McCain is not courting conservatives because he believes he can achieve the White House without us. You, being so adamant about pulling that lever, apparently count yourself among the "moderates" and "conservative Democrats" with whom he believes he can win. So your question addressed to me (and other conservatives by extension) is misplaced.

I fully accept the fact that McCain and the GOP are going ahead with this election without our (conservative) support. So-be-it. My point to you, and all other McCain supporters here; your belief that we will be responsible for McCain's defeat is illogical and misplaced. McCain doesn't want our support and believes he can win without it. That's a given. He doesn't even list FR on his list of conservative blogs to populate. If you're going to be honest with yourselves, and us, give up this argument. It's not going to work, and is useless. If McCain loses, it will be because of his strategy, not because of us.

I AM a conservative. I don’t like McCain and was voting for Hunter or Thompson until they backed out.

I too said I would neer vote for him. Now, with the choice between McCain and Obama, what CAN I do.

Please don’t refer to me as a “moderate”. Check my postings on other subjects.

CLEARLY the media hand-picked McCain in the debates by ignorning the other candidates or trying to set them up.

Sorry you can’t read my tag line.
I have been a supporter of Duncan Hunter for years as
the major person in congress trying to get the border closed and not supporting amnesty.
He has been involved in this before the other me too folks.

I have been against illegals before it became popular on FR

Two years ago when there were over 50,000 Mexicans marching here with their Marxist signs, I was one of those countering them with other conservatives.

I am the one on FR who lives 15 miles north of the busiest border crossing in the world here in San Diego and have been fed up for years with the illegas.

You need to learn not to read into what people post as you have some sort of personal problem.

I have received messages from those who know me and thought your comments were funny considering I have been on
FR for yrs. against illigals and against amnesty.
Get a grip and grow up.

Ooh, touchy touchy. I don't pay much attention to tag lines. And I don't review a poster's history before responding. I accept a poster for what he/she posts. I accept them at face value...

Your reply "We have been for the past decades, they are called high school grads and a large percent of college grads." to the sentence "*When we’re flooded with tens of millios of new unskilled, uneducated* [new citizens]" was an attempt on your part at marginalizing the issue the poster was making about illegal-aliens. That was your face value...

For someone who presents him/herself as anti-illegal-immigration, this comes across as a misstatement at the very least. More like defeatist.

You see? I do read what people post. And for someone to go from Duncan Hunter/anti-illegal to Juan McCain/pro-amnesty is quite a stretch. But that must be the grown up thing to do since you say I need to get a grip and grow up; vote party-whatever it takes-over principles.

And you accuse me of having a problem? Heh.

You need to get a grip.

Since I have several relatives in Iraq and Afgan. , I don’t want to see them have Obama as commander in chief
as that is the alternative to McCain.

At Least McCain served in the military and his son is a
Marine who has done a tour in Iraq and based here in San Diego.

If we don’t win the war we are in, nothing else matters.

Living in San Diego with the largest concentration of Navy and Marines, You have first hand knowledge what is going on and part of the everyday pulse of the city.

AS far as those in public education, before I went into the legal field, many yrs ago I was the Adm. of a Parochial school pre through 8th grade. They were at least one to two grades ahead of public schools kids.

As far as those with college degrees, have talked with many through out the yrs. and many Masters & PhDs have
no real clue of the real world. Some couldn’t tell me who bombed Pearl Harbor.
I find people with real world experience do better in life.

I have no issue with you on the Iraq War or Afghanistan. I have no issue with McCain on this subject either; except for his stance on the Guantanamo Bay detention issue.

If we don’t win the war we are in, nothing else matters.

I take issue with that. IMO the situation along our borders is as viable a concern as winning the war overseas. The same may be said for the security of our ports whether air or marine. Unless we can insure we are relatively free from internal attack we expose ourselves to further "911's" or even worse.

And this is only part of this issue. Immigrants entering illegally have forced a great burden on our laws, our states and our nation. Not only is their (supposed) contribution marginalized by their criminality, but their contempt for our culture and heritage disrespects everything we have achieved. And that is intentional! They want to reclaim the land lost through the Gadsden Purchase and elsewhere. And I haven't even mentioned the racist issues at play.

So, yes, winning the war is a given. It MUST be done. But securing our borders is also equally necessary. The two go hand-in-hand. And for the person who will receive the GOP nomination for President to seek amnesty and inclusiveness for these invaders is unconscionable. He may "get" the war, but he is out of touch on our second most important security issue. And I cannot and will not accept that.

John McCain is Democrat light. He is a multiculturalist who is happy to use this issue to garners votes. He continues to ignore his conservative base while wooing Democrats whether moderates or leftists. And the GOP is actively supporting his nomination. John McCain and the GOP have left me and all other true conservatives in the lurch. They have no intention of giving us a reason to vote FOR McCain. And without a reason I see no need to.

If John McCain loses the popular vote, and I'm one who doesn't vote for him, is it my fault as many of you McCain supporters suggest? No. The responsibility is with him. He loses because he has not convinced sufficient people to vote for him. Period. That's where the responsibility rests; nowhere else.

And don't even get me started on Global Warming...

I spent time on FR doing battle with the either open border or what is the problem people.

Duncan Hunter who spent over 27 yrs in congress and the main person to lead on the border problems along with his
leadership on the Armed Services committee and his major conservative background was my candidate.

A large per cent on FR either wanted those with no serious experience but a Gov. or Sen. or the Third Party anti war WackOs. All did battle and bashed Duncan Hunter.

Well, we got what we got. Don’t agree with McCain on many issues but the war is number one.
He has a clue that he can’t have his way as originally pushed on his version of the border issues. Still much I disagree with him on this.

McCain and his wife own two condos in San Diego overlooking the Ocean to the south bay area and Mexico.
If Pres. and spending time here, he will get an ear full.

Like it or not, it is McCain or the anti American Marxist Obama.

Many on FR didn’t want the experienced & Conservative Duncan Hunter. They thought they were cute bashing him.

Many on FR didn’t want the experienced & Conservative Duncan Hunter. They thought they were cute bashing him.

From an issues standpoint I saw a lot to like in Duncan Hunter, and was attracted to him early. But he never displayed the campaign 'savvy' I'd expect from a viable candidate.

Once it became apparent Fred Thompson might enter the race I moved over to him. Why? I saw his exposure on TV as a plus (a familiar face) and he displayed conservatives principles on issues that meshed. But, for some reason he didn't display the heart needed and ran a very weak campaign. Though he lasted through my primary (Super Tuesday) and I voted for him, I wound up with Romney (and a clothes pin on my nose) after Thompson quit the race.

Romney was a fall-back position and not a very serious one. Fall-back because the two entrants I swore I'd never back were Giuliani and McCain. And when I make such an oath I keep it.

As a Thompson backer I never trashed Hunter. I liked him as I did Tancredo (at least on the immigration issue), but never could consider the two of them going anywhere. I was proved correct, unfortunately.

You can hold it against people for making disparaging remarks about a given candidate, but I'll assure you, the worst by far was the Ron Paul supporters. Arrogance, condescension and patronizing petulance are words that come to mind. Many of them left FR (many were forced to leave) and I'm quite glad that scene is over.

I have done battle face to face with Paulets.
Anti war and many with Michael Moore 9/11 beliefs,
They really drank the kool-aid

Many have jumped on the Barrbet bandwagon, another
wack job.

They would rather back their third party demagogues
and see that Obama wins.

I found the information interesting until I got down to the bottom and they started blaming everything on the Zionists.

Sheesh!

I wish there were a way to confirm these claims. (not the Zionist part)

CDR Jerry K. Loeb, USN

As much as I dislike McCain, I also realize there is professionalism amongst the corporate ranks in business as well as in the military.

The remarks of this certain CDR (Commander?) do not fit the profile of career individuals of his alleged stature.

I say its BS......
