Hillary knows she will lose in S. Dakota and Montana. So she is throwing her focus into Puerto Rico, where she hopes to exploit the Latino/Obama 'discomfort'. Obvious enough.
But -- Puerto Rico doesn't get to vote in the November elections. US Territories aren't represented in the Electoral College.
So - Hillary is, at best, trying to make an ugly 'proxy' argument, and trying to say to the Dem Party, "See -- the Puerto Ricans don't like him, either". And this is a play to the Puerto Rican population in, e.g., New York or New Jersey, and a play to the Party to say, "these voters are with me".
But - those states have already voted. So -- this vote in PR is somewhat redundant. The PR populations in the US have already voted and, as I said, PR gets zero votes in the real election in November.
So -- let's see how the media plays the Hillary "win" tonight in PR, if and when she loses in S. Dakota. Will they point out these facts?
Bottom line...
If it’s all for naught, why was BHObama there, also?
Why are S. Dakota and Montana Rats voting for BO?
Then again, the vote in PR isn't till Sunday...
Elections are a form of war. War is never pretty. Both candidates need to be seen as having won over the PR voters for the same reason.
I agree.
Can Bill still pardon Puerto Ricans?? /rhetorical ?
Because they have to make a choice and I think they just don't like Hillary. They are just now learning about the Clintons what we've known for a long, long time. If Obama wasn't in this race, we all would be trying to take her down, big time. His negative stuff is out there and he will be watched carefully by both the rat party and by the Republicans. There is no controlling the Clintons. The fact that they have this much power after impeachment and all of their lies is mind boggling. If they got in, it's a guaranteed 8 years for them. I really think McCain has a better chance against Obama but if Obama were to win, it's more likely he'd be a one termer. Just say no to queen and king clinton.
The Democrats will lose in South Dakota and Montana in the general election.
The third largest population of Puerto Ricans in the mainland are in Florida, a swing state. The Florida Puerto Ricans, especially those in the I-4 corridor, are a particularly important block of voters. They swung Republican in 2004 and may have well helped carried the state for GWB.
