Do us Spaniards count as uncle toms too? Or is it only hispanics? Im confused
Me too. Perhaps you could explain something to me. I would think the term 'hispanic' would apply to those from Spain as well - looking at the derivation of the word. Is that wrong?
And I really don't get the term 'Latino'. Those of latin origin should be from Italy - but Italy didn't conquer all that much in the New World to make it a relevant term for Cental and South America. So where did that term come from? (Being half-Italian and having taken Latin in school, I feel insulted when someone from a 3rd world cesspool uses that term to describe themselves. The Roman empire deserves more respect.)

(If McCain really CAN "win without conservatives," then why do you care if I vote for him or not?)

I dunno. All of this PC stuff is too mixed up.
From what I understand, the term “Hispanic” comes from the peoples of Hispaniola, or the Dominican republic. Dontcha know that Columumbus did nothing but raped and pillaged everyone and every land he ever “conquered”
The old Spain and Portugal was know as Hispania (true), but for some reason we do not count as “Hispanics” Not that I give a rats petutty. I guess we have too much European, “White” blood in us thereby disqualifying us a a “Hispanic “ minority
FWIW

It doesn't make much sense, unless the only reason for the 'hispanic' label is to separate those that are successful (Spain/Portugal descendants) from those that are unsuccessful and use up our tax dollars in free handouts (Cental and South America). If those from Spain are not allowed the 'hispanic' label, it's gotta be something besides racial categories.

I think you pretty much nailed it on the success vs. dependent aspect.
A word of caution though. Don't fall into their trap of identifying these people by race.
Spanish, Portuguese, Mexican, Columbian etc. are heritages, or ethnicities, not races.
Libs love to separate people into groups/races that way they can turn us all against each other. Unfortunately, in a lot of ways they are succeeding

Very true. When I was going to school decades ago, ‘hispanic’ was not an option on the forms identifying race. You’re right in the ‘ethnicity’ is the correct term. I’ll be less brainwashed in the future ;)
