The Soros-McClellan Connection
Little Green Footballs ^ | 5/28/08 | Charles Johnson

Posted on 05/28/2008 8:20:13 PM PDT by Brian Mosely

The hat tip for this post goes to LGF reader John Williams in Texas.

The company that published Scott McClellan’s new Bush-bashing book is Public Affairs Books, and their Editor at Large is a guy named Peter Osnos: About The Century Foundation.

The owner of Public Affairs Books is a company called Perseus Book Group. Here’s their ownership tree: Perseus Books Home.

The firm is owned by Perseus Funds Group, (holding company Perseus LLC) a capital management firm that grew from about $20 million in 1995 to over $2 billion now. Big infusions of cash seemed to help it grow exponentially and it closed funds almost as fast as it opened them. The board has tons of liberals from the Clinton and Carter Administrations with credentials that almost put Osnos’ to shame as far as far left causes go. Their website is here: PERSEUS - merchant bank and private equity fund management.

If you go to the New York Department of State web site and enter “Perseus” in the “Business Organization” search, you get this on page 2 of the results:

Hi, George!

I remember thinking when Scott M started the job how utterly terrible he was at it.

If his family was Dem then that has to rank up there with one of the dumbest hires ever. Even if he was from a staunch conservative high brow family, he had no business being in that job.

Why oh why couldn’t Ari have lasted longer. He was great IMO.

"He told me he didn’t know if he could write a book like this a year ago"

Spoken like a true Soros whore. A year ago he did not yet have access to the big bucks for whoring his beliefs, to the extent he really had any. He learned what he needed to say to achieve money and temporary notoriety with the BDS left. Hell, he's probably had almost all the words fed to him by his Soros ghostwriter. Now he just needs to go out on the talk show and speaking circuit for a little while to plug his worthless treacherous book. What a RAT.

"utterly flummoxed"

it's called the deer-in-the-headlights look. McClellan looked like the most lost interviewee I've ever seen.

so tired of this genre of posts. Bush is Harvard grad, won elections as Governor and 2 term President. no small feats
Get used to it He is surrounded by People like HIM.
He is much more the Liberal, than many here admit. If not for 9/11, we all would see that clearly by now.

All of which points out why Pat Buchanan and Alan Keys were shunned at the primary polls.

I am not shocked, as soon as I heard about his book, I told hubby, sounds like Soros and he probably got paid big money.

Hope the money is enough for him and he doesn’t do himself in for being such a turncoat.

McClellan was not handled with kid gloves, as we would have imagined, on the CBS Today show this morning. Meredith Vieira kept firing questions at him, why now, why not then, is it about the money, you were disgruntled, you were JUST an assistant to Ari and not in the loop etc,--even Lauer, in a lone spot, stated McClellan would not win any badge for courage while McClellan was still awaiting the rest of the interview. Matt also said McClellan would be useful for only a time. McClellan had said he blamed politics on both sides for mistakes made, but was countered with the book's timing also being about politics? with no answer.

McClellan is also being deemed THE DEFENDER, not Bush and EVERYONE ELSE ALL PAINTED WITH MCCLELLAN'S SAME BRUSH STROKE.

VIDEO in part without the feel of the total environment of the show. McClellan was also being Upstaged by Idol fans waiting for the Davids to appear and Sex In the City promos were upcoming. They may be more Idol fans then there are McClellan interview fans.

However, Curry kept true to form with her short quip on McClellan. Had to appease the fan base, I guess.

McClellan did praise his publisher (wish I could remember the words, as I laughed). Those same words (?) might come back to haunt him, I thought.

He was not asked why after his leave from Press secretary he later was interviewed and showed no moral dilemma at that time.

Ari did say he had not seen Scott for over a year socially, they had intended to have lunch or breakfast (social situation involving food, "I'll call ya sometime"..scenario) etc; so maybe Scott McClellan felt "dumped". A Woman scorned??

Keith Olbermann, with whom he will also appear, will most likely attempt to . Meet the Press could be most interesting.

Press Briefing McClellan 2003, Re:Leaks

McClellan also blames the Liberal Media:
The collapse of the administration's rationales for war, which became apparent months after our invasion, should never have come as such a surprise. . . . In this case, the "liberal media" didn't live up to its reputation. If it had, the country would have been better served.

"Just consider how remarkable that is. George Bush's own Press Secretary criticizes the American media for being "too deferential" to the Government," writes Glenn Greenwald for Salon.com.

I think McClellan has P$$$ed off everyone to some degree, well; except his publisher, his "handlers" and those that "need to believe".

Employment in the future? Loyalty always a factor. Unless a job, for example, at MSNBC as an ongoing "expert" contributor..hmmmm. Everyone else does it.

The old Soros/McCain and everyone else related to money from Soros links only show that Soros (who owns(or owned) shares in Halliburton and other companies with war or special interests $$$) wanted Bush out of office, impeached!

Bush actually beat his opponents in more ways than one, therefore, Soros can be considered one of the Losers, with all that money spent!

Even MoveOn's $$$$ strategy experts and the Liberal Media couldn't move President Bush out of office. They huffed and the puffed and they still couldn't blow Bush's White House down.

Bush would be considered the winner in this "cowboy's rodeo".
