New York to Back Same-Sex Unions From Elsewhere

Wow...I wonder why the “full faith and credit” clause in the Constitution applies to queers who want to bugger each other (which ISN’T in the Constitution), but it doesn’t apply to my RIGHT to keep (own, possess) and bear (carry, tote, hoist, schlep) a firearm where and how I choose (which IS in the Constitution)...

As a native of New York and a current resident of New Jersey, I have been saying this for years.

My friend, WHY, if you are a Second Amendment man, would you EVER live in New Jersey? Semi-freedom lies just across the river...although with the POS DemCom Governor that PA has, it might be slipping even more towards the Socialist Utopia of Neu Jersey...

For myself, I will carry WHEN and WHERE I choose. Free men do NOT have to ask permission from their public servants whether or not they can defend their lives. I will tolerate and attempt to comply with a law only up to the point where it endangers my life.

I find it darkly humorous that for exercising a STATED CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHT, I risk being arrested and treated like a common thug criminal...and then those very same LEO’s, who SHOULD know better, send me letters asking me to donate to some Police Chief Association or Policeman’s Widow Association or support some other Law Enforcement organization...

When LEOs support MY right to carry a firearm to defend to my life, WHEREVER I AM, then I will support them. Other than that, all bets are off.

Retired LEOs are basically the only folks who can get concealed carry licenses in NJ, part of a deal that Kean made, I believe, to get the union endorsement years ago.

I spent two years in Washington state, where I carried my .40 legally. When I moved back here two years ago, I had to apply for a license to POSSESS a firearm at the local PD, which I find places an undue burden on my constitutional rights.

If only an activist judge could throw NY and NJs fascistic infringements on my rights OUT, it would send the Trenton Mafia through the roof.

Well, believe it or not, I think “sodomy laws” are unconstitutional; you can’t legislate someone’s sex preference/behavior, nor can you enforce it unless you go around peeking into peoples’ bedrooms. And it’s wrong to do so. If two guys want to bugger each other and get AIDS and die, let them. I don’t care at all. They’re not hurting anyone but themselves.

What I DO care about is the inordinate amount of power their political movement is gathering. That should worry ALL of us.

Lewd conduct in a public place is one thing and should NEVER be tolerated; but what people do with each other in the privacy of their own homes, by mutual consent, is a bedrock principle of the Constitution (Fourth Amendment) and should be jealousy guarded by ALL Conservatives. What if they passed a law saying a Christian couldn’t pray in his own home? Or read the Bible in his own home? I’d fight that by any means necessary.

I think they have a right to be any way they want to be; but they DO NOT HAVE A RIGHT TO FORCE THEIR BELIEF ON ME or my children or your children and then call it “normal”. They DO NOT have a right to use the coercive power of the state to force their mentality on the rest of us, to use the threat of JAIL for saying it is unnatural/abnormal, etc.,

“Live and Let Live” is a concept that the liberals do NOT understand. Personally, I would have given her the finger, blew her a kiss, flashed my biggest, brightest smile, and then promptly cut in front of her, maybe with a light tap on the brakes for good measure...

As for the last paragraph I entirely strongly agree, it is sad and sometimes frustraing when you meet someone or even talk to a neighbour etc and they agree with you but can’t be bothered to do anything about it.
