The Kiss Army fan club has an enthusiastic new recruit: Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.
Rice was in the Swedish capital Thursday for an international conference on Iraq. Kiss had a sold-out concert to play Friday.
"I was thrilled," Rice said of her late-night encounter with Kiss frontman Gene Simmons and bandmates Paul Stanley, Eric Singer and Tommy Thayer in the executive lounge of the Sheraton Hotel where they signed autographs and handed out backstage passes and T-shirts to her staff.
"It was really fun to meet Kiss and Gene Simmons," she told reporters, noting that they seemed well-informed about current events. The band had asked if she could stop by after she finished dinner with the Swedish foreign minister and Rice readily agreed, she said.

Condi is the original owner of SURGE strategy.
While Dummy-Rummy was dominating the policy and fighting for “small foot print” and refusing to “clear and hold”, Condi was fighting with President EVERYDAY for LARGER footprint and to “clear and hold”.
It took years before Dubya decided that he had to try different route. Later on that strategy started to be known as SURGE and all indications are that its successful.
Now I don’t know who came up with the plan to Pay Sons-of-Iraq and even Al Sadr. Someday perhaps some insider would write a book. I think buying peace is not going to last and its a dangerous game. Gene is something of a libertarian but with very hawkish foreign policy views. He’s originally from Israel and is a strong supporter of theirs.

I saw KISS in concert a few years ago - you couldn’t tell they were 50-ish at all.
My 17 y.o. Son was with me, and we sat right off the right side of the stage. As they were leaving, my Son stuck his tongue out at Gene Simmons, who promptly proceeded to stick out his tongue back at him and wave at us.
It was a great time and a fantastic concert.
Thats exactly what I thought when I read that line. A real KISS fan would have said Deuce, Parasite, Watchin' You, Strange Ways, Black Diamond or Cold Gin.
Basically anything off the first 2 albums would have been a better answer.
I actually thought the production on "Alive" was awful!
