Actually I have, but it was a conservative Texas Lutheran church. For a funeral. The pastor (or whatever they call him) seemed OK.
But I’m aware of what you’re alluding to.
Actually (and I’m not trying to start any religion flame wars!) it seems that Democrats do tend to cleave Lutheran, at least around here... My mom’s side has a Lutheran background, and the most “democrat” of the relatives tend Lutheran.
I found his attack on Hillary very offensive. It was very troubling to hear a man of God speak about someone that way using the church pulpit. He owes her an apology.

First McCain has to be willing and able to “connect the dots” for those American people who limit their knowledge to what they see on the teevee. The driveby media sure ain’t gonna do it for him.

Does this sickening "church" ever have a pastor or a speaker that talks about Jesus, the Bible, or any of that Christian-type stuff? Kind of like what is supposed to happen in a church?
It seems this place is nothing more than a venue for a weekly Sunday morning political rally.
COULD YOU IMAGINE what the media would be doing if the races were reversed, and the presidential candidate attending that church were a Republican? This is OBAMA’s church, for the last 20 years to present!! You see how the congregation acts, the more hateful and racist the remarks from the pulpit, the more they cheer.
The media would be going crazy with wall to wall, 24/7 coverage of how the candidate is a racist and they would be forced to leave the national stage in disgrace.
Instead, the media covers up for the candidate, and we barely hear a word about this in the MSM.
Still, the republicans should have a field day with this in the general election. This would be a cakewalk for any strong candidate, but Obama is running against McCain, who so far has been proven to be nothing more than an idiot. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

I’ve stood around joking with black friends/teammates/kids-i-coach like this, but it was always a joke. They say the same things in the same tone as a joke.
If I were to see this among friends, I would think he’s being intentionally funny and sardonic.
For example, I had a kid say during a game “coach I ain’t gonna play lacrosse next year. I ain’t not gonna be allowed.” HUH? WHAT? WHY NOT? GRADES? “coach, it’s bad. [long pause] i found out something [long pause]. i’m the only black player. ain’t no black guys allowed to play lacrosse no ways anyhow, right.” all with a silly overdone souther drawl (in Georgia) and double-triple overdone negatives. It’s funny as hell if you understand the joke and tone.
I’m not sure what to think of this video. It’s funny as hell if it is meant to be funny. It’s not so funny if he means it. His tone reminds me of the atmosphere among friends playing the common joke. But he mentions streaming and knows what’s happening. dunno. wierd.

The way the game is played is that the 527's do what needs to be done and then the candidate, as pure as Caesar's wife, is shocked, shocked I tell ya', to learn that the 527's are beating his esteemed and worthy opponent like a redheaded stepchild.
This election, as I did in 2004, I will make my campaign donations to a 527. I will then be scolded by the candidate and I will hang my head in shame and feel guilty about my ungentlemanly conduct.
