I work for one of the largest banking institutions in the world. Management is 100% white, 95% male and the only young talent is white and Asian. We have one smart African-American who went to an Ivy that constantly complains about “his interests” and “where am I going to be in 10 years” despite taking no risk and wanting to leave early and come in late.
The PC browbeaters still push for more diversity, but many cannot stomach the pressure or harsh times it takes to sell in a credit crunch.
Did I mention we all may be laid off soon???
The thing is that last time I checked, Caucasians are also a distinct racial and ethnic group. Diversity’s main aim is to eliminate white ethnicity and replace it.
The only true “caucasians” are Armenians and Georgians. I personally am OK with “white” or “European American.”
So disproportionate numbers of whites are getting M.B.A.s?
Must be discrimination.
Let’s lower the standards and set quotas.
Please, Clemenza. The man is right - give him his due without hair splitting quibbles. ;)
Salient sentence: Diversitys main aim is to eliminate white ethnicity and replace it.
Thank you for your post - bill
Don't get me started on the asinine "hispanic" category, which only exists in the US, and which new immigrants to the US find as odd as I do.
“They Fail at Diversity”
So? What?
Diversity may have started out with good intentions on the part of liberals. Yet, more and more I see it as a vehicle for discrimination. This is by definition a betrayal of the principle of diversity as it is supposed to be all-inclusive. Perhaps my terminology is off. I had a guy tell me I couldn’t claim the term “caucasian” since it only really describes people from Armenia and Georgia. I read an article where bias against whites was termed Caucophobia. I don’t like that term because it is fodder for endless jokes because of its pronunciation.
Yeah, but I bet the bottom 10 do.
