On the heels of a directive to soldiers from Americas top military official to stay out of politics, Senator John McCain acknowledged that his use of Gen. David H. Petraeuss picture in a fund-raising pitch was not appropriate. It wont happen again, he vowed at a news conference this afternoon. This morning, the Obama camp dispatched a statement from Senator John Kerry criticizing Mr. McCains use of a photo of the top commander in Iraq in a fund-raising pitch that went out to supporters via e-mail on Thursday. Its deeply disappointing that Sen. McCain is using a picture of General Petraeus in uniform to raise money and launch negative attacks, Mr. Kerry said in the statement.
In the fund-raising appeal, Mr. McCain repeats a recent critique of Mr. Obama: Something is wrong with your judgment when you want to sit down unconditionally with Raul Castro and Irans President, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, but you dont take the opportunity to sit down with General Petraeus and learn about the situation in Iraq firsthand. Included in the e-mail message is a picture of Mr. McCain shaking hands with General Petraeus, which was taken in April as the commander of American forces in Iraq arrived to testify before the Senate Armed Services Committee. As Mr. Kerry points out, the appeal less than a week after Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, issued an open letter to...

Yeah, I get it. It's perfectly OK to be seen with foreign enemy military leaders--- but it's NOT OK to be seen with your own loyal, heroic military leaders.
Somebody should really clue-in future "Commander-in-Chief" John McCain, to stop wimping-out in the "face" of Kerry...
Kerry? Kerry? Where have I heard that name? Didnt he serve in VN? ;-)
Who is this “Americas top Military Official” tha issued this directive?
THAT is the photo of Jon Carry that should have been in every email inbox and snailmail box in America 4 years ago!!
Hanoi Boi, Ho Chi Kerry is a hypocrite.
Is “Mr.” Kerry running for president if not then why is he running his mouth?
If Obama has something to say about it then let him say it but to try to butt in to create a distraction in the midst of the Obama preacher/mentor affair points to a calculated response by Kerry on behalf of the Obama campaign.

Hmmm? Coulda been Cambodia?
Kerry: you lost. STFU!
Is there anyone left on the face of the earth that McCain has failed to apologize to? (I know, bad grammar but the question is valid))
Anyone else think there’s a good chance Petraeus will end up McCain’s running mate?
booo...

“Its deeply disappointing that Sen. McCain is using a picture of General Petraeus in uniform “
No, you’re not. I’d love to slap these idiots sometimes. If Obama actually at any point felt “disappointment” over this photo, I’ll eat my hat. Disappointment is what all these turds say when what they really mean is anger. Or glee at a chance to attack someone who’d dare associate with the military.
The difference here is that there McCain is in the flesh, but you couldn’t see Obama shaking hands with a man like Petraeus in a million years. The guy would look totally out of place. Kind of like a West Virginia auto mechanic showing up at a coctail party in Montecito. Or even better, Theresa Heinz-Kerry showing up at Wendy’s and asking what chili was.
Just once I’d like one of our guys to reply, “No Barack, I don’t believe you really are disappointed or ever were.”
Only if it was Christmas day, during the Nixon administration! ;-)
OK, OK, somebody post the shot of sissy boy Jon Francoise Carry in the blue paper bunny suit with the buckteeth.
Carry, what a dweeb and twerp. Not to mention traitor. Why hasn’t he been in prison for treason for a long time now?
It's always "DEEPLY" this or that with Flipper and his rat buddies. It makes me puke every time I hear it.
There, that's better.
Thank you some of us need all the help we can get LOL! ;-)
It’s fun to be at the Y-M-C-A, Y-M-C-A.
*snicker*
ROFL! That is so good.
2004 was so much fun. ;-)
McCain appears to have a disease known as political-correctness. It’s a sickness and I don’t think it will be cured.
McCain, just like Scott McClellan, needs to grow a pair and realize that this is a partisan town. Being polite to the other side gets you absolutely ZERO in returned kindness or courtesy. You either treat them as the enemy or you can end up like George W Bush and his 35% approval rating.
To not point out that John Kerry and Barack Obama are socialists who would rather appease than oppose is suicide.
Kerry turns on McCain — after McCain attempted to defend Kerry against the beating he took from the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth...
Kerry has turned on EVERYONE....
His Country, his first wife, his good buddy McCain.....
Traitorous sonuvabitch, simply can’t help himself.....
If General "Betray Us" Petraeus is such a 'pariah' to America--- why isn't traitor Kerry encouraging more foto-ops, rather than fewer? Or is he afraid of something...
The problem is that McQueeg apologized and said he would never do it again.
Of course, who can really tell with McCain? Doesn't seem that he's doing all that much to energize the conservative base. I don't think he can win with his current “stick in the eye” strategy.
“Vice President Dick Cheney attacked John Kerry. He said that John Kerry ‘lacks deeply held convictions.’ Today Kerry shot back, he said, ‘That’s not completely true.’” Jay Leno

God help us.
ROFL!
[what was he thinking when he did that to himself??]
