The amiable Gene Robinson is a regular MSNBC guest, but he's apparently not a regular MSNBC viewer—at least not of Keith Olbermann's show. Otherwise he would have never claimed, as he did tonight, that no one accused Geraldine Ferraro of being a racist back in March when she said that, for current political purposes, Obama was lucky to be black. For it was none other than Olbermann host who accused Ferraro of precisely that.
On this evening's Race for the White House, David Gregory invited Robinson to comment on a Ferraro op-ed in today's Boston Globe in which the former Dem VP candidate wrote that she had been "accused of being racist for a statement I made" back in March.
EUGENE ROBINSON: On the race issue, I wish Geraldine Ferraro would give it a rest. I don't think people were saying she was racist when she made her earlier remarks. What people were saying was she was talking nonsense.

I’ve probably asked 20 times WHY they won’t demand officials from both party’s to be at every polling place to keep an eye out.
Only thing in common between Obama and Jackson is color of their skin. One has based their entire carreer on greivance-platform, the other wants to move beyond greivance and has publicly said that he has actually benefitted from his background and is post-racial candidate.
Bill Klinton so desperately wanted to marginalize Obama and reduce him to Sharpton-Jackson type candidate. His statement was offensive to even most Conservatives, such as Fred Barnes, Joe Scarborough, Peggy Noonan and others. I am that now I mention their names, they would be brutally attacked. That’s fine.
For most Americans, when they compare Obama to other Democrats, the names that come to mind are McGovern, Carter, Gore and Kerry.

Just what part of “racism” do you not understand? When 90 some percent of the population who call themselves “black” vote for a candidate who is black verses a candidate who is “white” what does that tell you about “racism”?

Can you point out a Obama rally where their were only Black people? If anything, his campaign is guilty of trying to put too many White faces in the background. I am surprised black people are not offended by that because in every rally he has, its tough to find any black folk, even in North Carolina rally.
So yes, their were people of all colors present in that rally and in any other rally, because his campaing wants to emphasize the fact that he is not running as some racial candidate.

Obama loses and loses badly on both of those counts when it comes to conservatism and traditional American values and constitutional principles.
His own past, his own freely chosen associations are catching up with him. They are associations of years, and decades in some cases. These people are virulently anti-American, admitted domestic terrorists, ardent black liberation adherants, and far leftists like Obama himself. They are not easily, and should not be easily pushed aside.
His positions in the state Senate and in the US Senate are among the most liberal and socialist of any representative in this nation and he espouses them time and again on the campaign trail. He is anti-military, willing to cut research, development, and deployment of weapons systems that keep us head and shoulders above potential enemies, willing to cut and run on the cusp of victory in Iraq, pro-abortion (proudly supporting partial birth and unwilling to even vote against life birth abortion), pro-every social and entitlement program imaginable, will put abject socialists and activist judges on the supreme court, he has not shown one scintilla of evidence of uniting while in office, etc., etc., etc.
I do not care what color or sex he is...it is the associations and stances on the issues he takes which mark him for what he is and that is a far left, socio-marxist politician. His "change" will not be good for America.
IMHO, his associations and his stances as a far left politician mark him as the apex of the domestic enemy in this nation when it comes to traditonal values and constitutional governance.
I will do all in my power to expose him for what he is (and that involves exposing his associations, the ideology and politics of the church he has emmersed himself and his children in, and the stances he takes on issues) and educate people within my own sphere of influence him to wholly reject him because of the damge to this Republic that he represents.
