ALBANY - Gov. Paterson has refrained from politicking for a Democratic takeover of the Senate - but his wife has entered the fray with a fund-raising invitation on state letterhead.
That's a no-no.
First Lady Michelle Paige Paterson sent the invitation for the June 24 Manhattan fund-raiser on behalf of family friend Don Barber, who is challenging upstate Sen. James Seward (R-Milford).
"I know that you will agree with me that our 'blue' state should be led by a Democratic Senate and Don's campaign will help us achieve that goal," the First Lady wrote.
Senate spokesman Mark Hansen called the letter "troublesome" and "offensive."
"It's unfortunate that people around the governor would allow the First Lady to be used this way, especially when we're trying to govern and get results," Hansen said.

The Democrat Party — it appears the DNC’s plantation “Big Houses” have been overrun by the meanest field hands.
Is there no shame!
No shame that nearly EVERY black Democrat Mayor, Governor, Congress Critter and “public spokesperson” -— is either corrupt, immoral, vocal racist or simply ignorant????
By the same token - nearly EVERY black Republican American one can name - is a righteous, industrious and respectable citizen?
Am I the only one to notice?
Or the only one to mention?????

Her secretary should be fired immediately. It was not the responsibility of the governor’s wife to know all the rules, but whatever secretary or staffer must be released immediately before something else occurs. You can't be playing with these rules if you don't want to end up in jail.

The Senate Republicans need to hang on or Kremlin-style politics will be coming to NY.

They certainly can be all at once -- and are!

I’m sure they’re aware of Kwame’s shenanigans. They’re probably thinking, “It’s letterhead, it’s not like we killed someone!”
