The left wing blogs are all running the same spin (undoubtedly from B.O. campaign talking points), that Mrs. B.O. was criticizing Bush and said "why'd he" do this, "why'd he" do that, etc.

Most likely someone from the B.O. campaign that has heard the tape (or was there when it was said) has come up with this "explanation".

Of course, it could be that the B.O. campaign considered all the various alternatives and simply decided that "why'd he" made a better cover story than "white tea" or "wide bee".
