This morning at around 7:30 a.m. on CNN it was reported that Mr. McCain spent 2 hours at a hospital yesterday. No reason given for the visit. I believe the report was that he was at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
Has anyone heard anything more about this???
There is no link on Google or Drudge as to this visit but it was seen on CNN this morning.
I’ve seen mention he goes there for skin cancer check-ups regularly...no biggie.
Didn’t see it. I was too busy watching a report that Obama had met with some aytollahs somewhere.
Probably had a 4 hour reaction to Viagra. Had to be treated for blisters.
He specifically told the Press Corp to hold the Mayo

agree, just a scheduled check up.
Mayo Clinic in Arizona? Mayo Clinic is in Rochester, MN.
I heard he visited Walter Reed Hospital with no fanfare. It sounded as if he was making an unannounced visit to injured troops.
Satellite clinic. Ok, go ahead with the pics of satellites.
Just handing out t-shirts and coffee mugs to his La Raza base hanging out in the ER Waiting Room.
I stand corrected.
Mayo Clinic in Arizona? Mayo Clinic is in Rochester, MN.
They also have a branch in Arizone.
It’s also in Scottsdale, opened out there in the early 80’s, as I recall.
I though he said he goes every couple of months or so about the skin cancer check.
Nothing to worry about. He was just having the last conservative bone in his body removed.
Really classy, dude.

Mayo Clinic is also in Jacksonville Fl. I believe.
He visited Walter Reed yesterday. My nephew, injured in Afghanistan last week, is there and got pictures with McCain.
Mayo is in Rochester, MN, not AZ.
There is also a Mayo Clinic in Florida. The one in Rochester is NOT their only clinic.
If anyone’s interested, my nephew, Army Reserve unit out of Bryan, Texas, was 1st Sgt riding in a convoy. His unit had been in country 3 days and were on their first mission. They were attacked by 6 insurgents. A young private returned fire and killed 5 of the 6 on the right side of the convoy. About that time an RPG hit the left side of the vehicle and injured the private and my nephew. My nephew had shrapnel that lodged in the brain. The private, severely injured in his right leg, performed first aid on my nephew and is credited with saving his life.
My nephew’s name is David Gussberry. The young private is David Hutchison and is getting the Bronze Star with V for his actions. It was his first time in combat. What a warrior!
An Air Force strike was called in and got the other insurgent.
My family says they’re being treated like royalty at Walter Reed and everything is paid for. Too bad the media doesn’t report that.
I haven’t posted for a long time on here but felt this was worth reporting.
Drudge only monitors AIDS related hospitalizations.
He looks out for his immediate family that way.
Wow! Thank you for sharing that. I will be happy to put these men and their families in my prayers. Since you put the story out there I am sure many, many others will too!
God bless your nephew and family.
Thanks for the post. I'll be sure to remember Sgt. Gussberry and Pvt. Hutchinson in my devotions.
Bravo and a huge thank you to your nephew and his buddies. I am very glad our heroes are being treated well at WR.
Thank you all for your prayers. My family is convinced it was God who protected them. My nephew had brain damage, is blind on one side but is getting better in his testing. The doctor told him it’s possible he’ll make a full recovery. He thinks the blindness is being caused by swelling.
Private Hutchison has already been transferred to Brooke in San Antonio. In the beginning he had no feeling in his leg and I don’t know how he’s doing now but I do know he’s an out patient so that’s good.
I hope your nephew makes a full recovery. Please extend my gratitude to him for his service. I pray that we remain worthy of the sacrifices made by our brave young fighters.
Prayers for your nephew, David Gussberry and David Hutchison, for continued healing.
You don't have to thanks us. We owe them a debt that we'll never be able to repay.
If it's not too inconvenient, could you post here or send FReepmail when you have some updates on their conditions?
If he takes Palin for VP, she will finish out his term and become our 2nd female prez after hilary who served two terms. In the future the claim will be made that hilary deserves to be called our 1st female prez.
DC Chapter ping to #25 ... there’s “family” at WRAMC
there are Mayo Clinics in many states, including AZ
Geeze, guys.
Just GOOGLE Mayo Clinic. It will give you a list of many states, including AZ...
We see that McCain wins or we spit on our troops.
My son did part of his medic training at Brooke. He will leave in 6 months for his 2nd deployment.
how is your nephew doing?
i have no doubt that Walter Reed treats them all well.
i have a nephew over there also, been there for about 2 mos.
It would take more than two hours for a Melanoma check up.
Let’s see. Short visiting hours?
LOL!
Except for the heebie jeebies the week before the appointment and a few days after.
We don't deserve such men but by the Grace of God we get them anyway. I am grateful.
Will definitely tell him to look out the window. Thanks.
All those guys are warriors. My nephew was upset that he didn’t get to shoot back. He was in Iraq a few years ago and got into some combat. But I don’t think he’ll be going back anymore.
Funny story. He said he had gone to get some ice and saw the Reno 911 guys standing at the door of his room. He approached them and said, “Hey, I know you guys.” They asked him what happened to him and he said, “Five of the little sons-a-bitches shot me.” He’s not a 100% but he’s still got this sense of humor.
He told me yesterday his wife had the camera ready for when McCain came in. I had said I wouldn’t vote for McCain as had others in the family. But after this, him going there with no press, I’ve got a new found respect for the man. He refused to use it for political gain. And even people on here are wondering why he went to the hospital. He now has my vote and my sisters’ votes. And I’m sure he has my nephew’s vote, too!
McCain is not my favorite but he deseves better because of his abilty to get out of the fetal position after what he's experienced in the military and medically. I'd probably be sucking my thumb in an institution, if I survived at all.
