This morning at around 7:30 a.m. on CNN it was reported that Mr. McCain spent 2 hours at a hospital yesterday. No reason given for the visit. I believe the report was that he was at the Mayo Clinic in Arizona.
Has anyone heard anything more about this???
There is no link on Google or Drudge as to this visit but it was seen on CNN this morning.
My son did part of his medic training at Brooke. He will leave in 6 months for his 2nd deployment.

i have no doubt that Walter Reed treats them all well.
i have a nephew over there also, been there for about 2 mos.
It would take more than two hours for a Melanoma check up.

We don't deserve such men but by the Grace of God we get them anyway. I am grateful.

All those guys are warriors. My nephew was upset that he didn’t get to shoot back. He was in Iraq a few years ago and got into some combat. But I don’t think he’ll be going back anymore.
Funny story. He said he had gone to get some ice and saw the Reno 911 guys standing at the door of his room. He approached them and said, “Hey, I know you guys.” They asked him what happened to him and he said, “Five of the little sons-a-bitches shot me.” He’s not a 100% but he’s still got this sense of humor.
He told me yesterday his wife had the camera ready for when McCain came in. I had said I wouldn’t vote for McCain as had others in the family. But after this, him going there with no press, I’ve got a new found respect for the man. He refused to use it for political gain. And even people on here are wondering why he went to the hospital. He now has my vote and my sisters’ votes. And I’m sure he has my nephew’s vote, too!
McCain is not my favorite but he deseves better because of his abilty to get out of the fetal position after what he's experienced in the military and medically. I'd probably be sucking my thumb in an institution, if I survived at all.
Only TWO hours? Jeesh, I wish I could get seen withing 2 hours! It usually takes me about that long to find a parking spot at our local VA Hospital. I think he is probably getting “special treatment”...
I am afraid we will all have to vote for him...the loss to anyone else would be intolerable.
I keep hoping that when he does not have Bush to hate, he may revert to the 92% conservative he was before 1999-2000 Primary defeats.
There was no way I was going to vote for Bush in 2004. I had planned on leaving “President” blank on my ballot. But the vitriol on the left as well as the smearing of the Swiftboat Vets drove me to vote for Bush out of spite. The same thing will happen again when it comes time to vote this year. You and me will be DRIVEN to vote against them.
They were probably installing a window in his belly so he could see where he is going!

Hi! I know David & his wife Teresa, infact her and I have been friend for about 5yrs. My X use to be in the unit with David. Teresa called me that night about midnight so beside her self about david. My heart went out to her. She kept apologizing about calling so late and saying “I know you have to work in the morning”. She called me from DC to give me an update. I truly hope David will recover from this injury. They are both Good people! Thank You David for doing what you do!

I’ll give McCain his due on character, but he could be just as dangerous to our economy (cap-and-trade) as Hillary and Obama, although he might have to work hard to match them.

I called his room tonight and I woke him up. But in just a few seconds he was “with me”. God is answering some prayers and he’s recovering well.
I told him about the freep on Friday nights and he said he thinks the location is right out in front of his ward. Knowing David he’ll be out there, if he’s able.
He said McCain stayed about 10 minutes, thanked him and wished him well. He was very impressed with McCain. And you know David. He told McCain “the sonsabitches shot me”. He said McCain laughed. David now says he’s voting for him, too.
When I called yesterday Teresa answered the phone. I’m sure she’d love to hear from you. David’s mom is already back in Arkansas so Teresa is there now with Brittany. Ms. Phillips, I can give you the number if you want to email me.
My sister told me that several times when he was in Germany he’d choke up when he’d say, “The guy saved my life.”
Pvt. Hutchison visited him in Germany, they were on the same transport, and David thanked him for saving his life. Hutchison replied, “Just doing my job, Tops”.
When the RPG hit the Humvee it knocked Hutchison on top of David. He immediately started giving David first aid. David asked him if he was okay. Hutch told him he’d been hit in the leg. David told him “Take care of yourself.”
Hutch replied, “You’re worse off than I am, Tops.”
For those who don’t know, David is with a Reserve unit out of Arkansas but was transferred to the Bryan, Texas unit. When I learned Private Hutchison was from Texas I told my sister, “Hey, you can’t go wrong when you’re ridin’ with them Texas boys.” Me being from Houston, you know.
