Liberals & Libertarians ‘Dead’ Wrong on National Security
The New Media Journal ^ | June 2, 2008 | JB Williams

Hillary Clinton was for the war on terror including in Iraq, before she had to become against it to attract her Code Pink feminazi core for a White House bid. Barack Obama says he would have been against it from the start, had he been out of his political diapers at the time those tough decisions had to be made. Both are running on ideological hindsight and campaign rhetoric.

But 300 million Americans expected President Bush alone to make certain that there would be no second 9/11. He has done just that, no matter how politically uncomfortable leftists have made it for him in their quest for political power at any cost.

Libertarians like Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan are equally foolish in their isolationist blame America first and often national security rhetoric.

Since these mental midgets have such big mouths on such an important subject that they clearly know nothing about, it’s time to KISS national security, keep it simple stupid, before the American voter makes a treacherous mistake this November.

Both liberals and libertarians seem to have missed their security 101 courses, even the basics learned by the average voter before they reach the 3rd grade. Defense alone won’t win anything. Winning anything requires an offense.

Name your analogy...

I’ve heard rumors that some Democrats, after Sept. 11th, were happy that Bush had won the election in 2000. Reason being, they were happy that experienced hands such as Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Colin Powell were in charge at that time. They didn’t think that their man Al Gore would have taken strong action after Sept. 11th.

Can you imagine what an Al Gore administration would have done after Sept. 11th? Would they have had the courage and desire to invade Afghanistan to go after Al Qaeda? Or would Al Gore have encouraged navel gazing to try to discern why they hated us so much instead?

I am a Libertarian, but the foreign policy proposed by Ron Paul and Pat Buchanan is insanity. Pat Buchanan is nothing more than a Union hack. They are under the false assumption that if we remove are presence from the middle east, then they will not hate us anymore.

Gore might have acted, if green bombs were available:

And Bush was a fool for failing to get a declaration of war.

Beceause of that failure, the Dems waited until there was political opportunity to backtrack on their votes.

Then they began to oppose Bush’s operations in Iraq and were successful in thwarting progress there, prolonging the comabat operations and involvement to the point where the OIF is unpopular and (wrongly) considered a failure.

But that was the GOP in charge again.

Ready...Shoot! Aim....

And Bush was a fool for failing to get a declaration of war.

Specifically, how is a declaration of war different from the authorization to use military force that Bush sought and was given by Congress?

I'm a libertarian. I was for the Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm all for fighting them AS wars.

We stopped doing that and are engaged in "Nation building". Considering it was British "Nation Building" that broke up the ME into such screwed up units to begin with, I don't think our results will be much more long lived.

War can be a great tool for when diplomacy fails. Letting the liberals in Congress "pussify" our efforts so they can re-live the Viet Nam protest era is cowardice.

Agreed. Past due time to pi$$ or get off the pot.

With an outright Declaration of War, half the Dems in Congress currently trying to undermine the efforts could be tried for "Treason during war time".

“But 300 million Americans expected President Bush alone to make certain that there would be no second 9/11. He has done just that ...”

Really!?

If he could do that, why didn’t he prevent the first one?

With the most powerful military in the world and the most sophisticated intelligence services in the world our government could prevent 19 Muslim nuts from hijacking four
American planes and flying them into three building?

And George Bush is preventing it from happening again?

Some people will swallow anything.
