Clinton to retire from politics
Fox News | 6/3/08 | null and void

Posted on 06/02/2008 10:22:35 AM PDT by null and void

Bill Clinton told reporters in Montana today that this was his last political campaign, that he thought he was done with political campaigning until the Hildabeast decided to run.

Perhaps this is yet another reason he has been so lukewarm/ineffectual as a Hillary!™ champion?

Although I do find it a little hard to believe that he would turn down any future opportunity to hog a TV camera...

Nothing on the FoxNews web site yet.

Don’t..you..believe..it!!! Bill must know his days are short, because the public spotlight is all he lives for.

He just wants to continue his adultery without the glare of campaign media following him around. It must have been a hard choice for Bubba - his libido or his ego.

I predict Bill Clinton will become the next Jimma Carta and we know how that is going (unless he gets caught in a photo with his pants down around his knees which is always possible with this guy).

I think you have nailed it — this will be the reason he will NOT campaign for Obama.

Bill is going to be a free man after Hillary’s Presidential aspirations are history. I don’t think he ever really wanted her to win. They’ve stayed together only because it served her political ambitions. Now that POTUS is out of her reach, there isn’t a reason for them to carry on the facade any longer.

Let's hope he actually honors his word for once in his life and this is his last political campaign.

I can only hope that when they open the sealed records from his impeachment proceedings, all the evidence collected by Rick & Beverly Lambert and all the other investigators, it will still be there and the entire world will finally admit what a sick bastard he was.

Right now he goes down in history as an insignificant President who did nothing of any importance during his 8 years, except an embarrassing series of sexual encounters in the oval office, an impeachment and a lot of scandals in his administration.

Once the facts of his sexual perversions and drug use are made public, he goes down as the most despicable man to ever slither into the Presidency. 50 years from now, the people will try and forget he ever existed.

Never forget, this country actually elected a rapist to the highest office in the land. That about says it all.

“You won’t have Bill Clinton to kick around any more.”

Think we’ll see the MSM mocking him incessantly?

Bill Clinton told reporters in Montana today that this was his last political campaign, that he thought he was done with political campaigning until the Hildabeast decided to run.

Well the second half of that statement is an obvious lie, so I don't think that we can hold him to the first part. He'll be campaigning again the second they decide to run Chelsea for a NY house seat.

I believe he was supposed to do that 1/21/2001. At least every President before him had the good grace to sit down and shut up.

Agreed. Except for placating Hillary by delivering on his side of the “deal” where she stuck by him through thin and thin so she would get her chance, her becoming POTUS gives him nothing he doesn't already have.

Thinking on it further, it would also tie him more to DC and public appearances that he's free from under his current status. He pretty much comes and goes as he pleases now but a Hill Presidency would give him requirements and restrictions he'd rather avoid.

Depends on the definition of "kind".

"I want to say also that this may be the last day I'm ever involved in a campaign of this kind,"

There's a lot of wiggle room in that statement.
