The pressure on him to pick a woman will be enormous. I’m thinking he’ll tab Sebelius of Kansas.

Why would Hussein go for a moderate partner when his campaign is all extreme? I say Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton.

No way on Strickland. Yes, he's an attractive choice on RKBA and he's more fiscally conservative than the past two Republican governors of Ohio, but he and Obama are oil and water.

Strickland has stuck with Clinton, and I doubt if he'll jump ship. He's way too conservative for Obama's taste, he's a minister (and about as unlike Wright as one can get) and 275 miles from Chicago to Columbus does not equal geographic balance.

I don't know what to think. Hillary and her co-candidate have done everything in their power to tear down Obama's candidacy. It follows that no sane, reasonable person would partner with someone who has behaved in such a manner. On the other hand, no sane, reasonable person would abandon his religious beliefs and renounce his church and, by implication, his God in a quest for earthly power. Nothing either of them does will surprise me.

I believe he should pick a southern white male that would be perceived as a moderate if he wants to win but I don’t think he is smart to think that deep. I do believe McCain, the weakest Republican candidate for President in a long time, will kick Obama’s butt.

What do you all think?

I'm absolutely, 1000% sure it will be McCain. He'll cross the isle in a heartbeat, courtesy of his psychotic focus on "bipartisanship" ('going along to get along'), rather than real conservative principle. Plus, he had discussions with Kerry on the exact same issue a few years back, so everyone involved (D@mocrats & McCainiacs) are completely comfortable with the idea!

Oh... that's right... forget what I just said...

Richardson

Olympia Snowe (No, I'm not kidding. She's a RINO and then some and she would sell her soul to be on the ticket. Imagine the MSM applause for "reaching out across the aisle".)

Except that Richardson is 1/2 anglo and Obama is 1/2 white. They'd have a lot of bases covered for those who focus on this sort of thing.

It really pains me to say this, but Strickland has been more positive for Ohio in 16 months than Voinovich and Taft were for 16 years. I'm not exaggerating.
