A new picture is surfacing on a variety of sites indicating the one possible venue where Michelle blurted out against 'whiteys'.
At this event, Michelle was there with Mrs. Farrakhan, Louis Farrakhan's wife, and not with Farrkhan himself. The confusion could be related to the fact that someone just typed "Farrakhan" without adding the Mr. or Mrs. and people just assumed it was Louis Farrakhan and not his wife.
The event was the June 26th, 2004 Rainbow/PUSH Coaltion's 33rd Annual Conference, held in Chicago.
Some of the attendees at the event were: (1) Michelle Obama, wife of then-US Senate candidate Barack Obama (2) Mother Khadijah Farrakhan, wife of Minister Louis Farrakhan (3) Mrs. James Meeks, wife of Rev. James Meeks
Note: The timing of this event is really interesting, because it was on June 26th, 2004, the month before the Democratic Party opened its Convention in Boston (where Barack Obama would give the keynote address on July 27th, which first introduced him to a national audience). So, this panel discussion Michelle participated in occured before Obama was a household name - and thus before national media was paying any attention to what Michelle Obama was doing.
It's highly unlikely any mainstream press attended the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition's 33rd Annual Conference, so it's very plausible Michelle Obama could have felt perfectly comfortable launching into an explosive rant there, without fear of her words being immediately made public (as opposed to her doing something like this after her husband was a known entity on the national stage, where she would, we assume, be more restrained with her opinions). Ironically, it seems June 26th would have been the very last possible event at which Michelle could have done something like this, in relative anonymity.
Barack Obama delivered his keynote address in Boston on July 27th, 2004, with Michelle Obama in attendance. Having her chance to speak in a public forum before her husband was scheduled to speak on national television may have inspired Michelle to deliver a memorable address of her own at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference.

One problem is that this picture was in 2004. According to many of the so called accounts, M. Obama rails against Whitey for Katrina, which didn’t happened till late Aug of 2005. So something is wrong.
Katrina was in 2005.

Nobody knows what’s really on the tape if there is one. All the transcripts are just rumors.

As time goes on, the existence of a tape becomes less and less likely. It may be nothing but rumor.
The most likely source of such a rumor would be Clinton’s people. The motive for the rumor would be to scare superdelegates away from endorsing Obama for as long as possible.

Saw a rumored transcript earlier. I read it to indicate she was using the same-sounding-enunciation as a “play-on-words”...she meant it to sound like “whitey” for emphasis. She was using it to inflame the crowd.
Again, it was a “rumored” transcript.

I would tend to agree, however, that Grifter has said she’s going to be contacting superdelegates over the next couple days after today’s primaries and the scuttlebutt is that the tape hits tomorrow. Timing is everything and time will tell...

IF this tape exists — and it probably doesn’t — it is likely that it will be clear whether Michelle Obama said “Whitey” or “Why’d he” by considering the next word.
If the next word is “DID” or another word in the past tense, then she was saying “Whitey DID that,” not “Why’d he DID that.”
But if the next word is “DO” or another word in the present tense, then she was saying “Why’d he DO that?”
You can do the same analysis with most other verbs suggested by Obama supporters:
“Why’d he leave” v. “Whitey left”
AND (less clearly)
“Why’d he attack” v. “Whitey attacked”
If it exists, there shouldn’t be any ambiguity.
