Maxine Waters switches to Obama; Kilpatrick endorses Obama

Staff Reporter | Posted June 3, 2008 5:59 PM

Three black members of Congress have endorsed Barack Obama today, moving with lightning speed to line up with the man who will tonight become the Democratic nominee. Rep. Maxine Waters, a Hillary Clinton supporter, announced today that she is switching her vote to Barack Obama. And Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick of Michigan has also endorsed Obama.

The news comes just as Rep. Jim Clyburn of South Carolina, an uncommitted superdelegate and the highest ranking African American in Congress, announced his support for Obama Tuesday morning on NBC's "Today" show.

"Senator Hillary Clinton has run a superb campaign and has proven to be a hard worker while gaining the support of many key constituencies that will be essential for Democratic success in November," Rep. Waters said in a statement. "Despite that, Senator Obama's delegate numbers more than describe the enthusiasm for his candidacy and I believe that by the end of the day, he will have the necessary numbers to become the Democratic Party nominee for President," she said.

"We are at a very important time for our nation today and we must unite together to win in November," said Rep. Kilpatrick. "I am proud to announce my support for Barack Obama," she said.

But Rep. Alcee Hastings, of Florida, said that he will be boycotting the Democratic Convention in August. Hastings expressed frustration over his party's decision on seating delegates from Florida. "Florida Democrats have been serially abused and the DNC is the latest of offenders," he said in a statement. "The insiders who actively sought to disillusion and disenfranchise the more than 1.75 million Florida Democrats who voted on January 29 give new meaning to collective arrogance," Hastings said.

"As a matter of protest, I do not intend to attend the Democratic National Convention in Denver," Hasting added.

Both Waters and Hastings were the subject of a political action campaign sponsored by a group called Color of Change, which had called on members of the Congressional Black Caucus to follow the will of their constituents instead of voting independently at the Democratic Convention this summer in Denver.

Who could have guessed they would support Obama?

John Adams was SO right....
He saw all this coming, and now we’re an out of control train charging to our own destruction.

I fear we have lost the Republic our Constitution envisioned — and have a small “d” democracy under mob rule.

Zimbabwe West can’t be far behind.

Both Maxine Waters and John Conyers, chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, are signers of the Revolutionary Communist Party call to "Drive Out the Bush Regime".

Click on link just below and see: "Endorsers of the Call to Drive Out the Bush Regime Include". Conyers' endorsement appears right after Ward Churchill's. Waters' is further down. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson Jr's are also there:

Fact: World Can't Wait--Drive Out the Bush Regime IS a MAOIST- revolutionary movement initiated and controlled by the Revolutionary Communist Party. (scroll down the list that appears (after clicking link) to find the World Can't Wait organization --rwor.org is the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party):

Los Angeles riots of 1992:
"[Maxine] Waters has been criticized for her comments regarding the Los Angeles riots of 1992. In defense of the people that looted stores and damaged property, Waters said 'If you call it a riot it sounds like it was just a bunch of crazy people who went out and did bad things for no reason. I maintain it was somewhat understandable, if not acceptable. So I call it a rebellion.'[5] She also said it was 'a spontaneous reaction to a lot of injustice' and 'The anger in my district is righteous. I'm just as angry as they are.' She responded to the mass looting of Korean-owned stores by saying: 'There were mothers who took this as an opportunity to take some milk, to take some bread, to take some shoes. They are not crooks. Everybody in the street was not a thug or a hood.'"

From David Horowitz's FrontpageMag.com /DiscoverTheNetworks.org:
"Throughout its history, one of RCP's [Revolutionary Communist Party] principal objectives has been to foment civil unrest in the United States. The most notable example of such efforts occurred on April 29, 1992, when RCP members looted and trashed the downtown and government districts of Los Angeles, triggering the infamous Rodney King riots. During the days immediately preceding the violence, RCP -- which maintained close ties to the L.A. gangs known as the Crips and the Bloods -- had circulated throughout South Central Los Angeles a leaflet featuring a statement by RCP National Spokesman Carl Dix, titled 'It's Right To Rebel' -- a quote popularized by Mao Zedong.

Encouraged by Dix, RCP activists helped lead the riots that would leave 58 people dead, more than 2,300 people injured, some 5,300 buildings burned, and $1 billion in property damaged or destroyed. On the ten-year anniversary of the rioting, RCP member Joseph Veale fondly recalled the violence as 'the most beautiful, the most heroic civil action in the history of the United States.'"
http://www.discoverthenetworks.org/groupProfile.asp?grpid=6197

"The RCP upheld the 1992 sometimes-violent unrest in Los Angeles and nationally as a 'rebellion' in the aftermath of the Rodney King verdicts. Then-LAPD chief Daryl Gates alleged that the RCP was involved in the 'riots'. Los Angeles has long been one of the RCP's larger and more active branches. William 'Mobile' Shaw was a local leader who recently passed and received public commendation from the party."

From the website of the Revolutionary Communist Party (revcom.us or rwor.org) :
"Create Public Opinion, Seize Power: We are preparing minds and organizing forces for the time when there is a major crack in the system, whenever it comes and wherever it comes from: an opening that makes it possible to bring the future Revolutionary Army of the Proletariat (R.A.P.) into the field and wage a revolutionary armed struggle that actually has a chance of winning. And we have said that building our party itself is the most important part of organizing forces for revolution. This is true now, and it is true looking forward to the creation of that future R.A.P. and the waging of that armed struggle.":

I went to a freak show in the fifties and the “Mule Woman” they brought out looked like Maxine Waters. Sounded like her too, but made more sense.

Here’s my catchphrase for Obama: Hateful and Ungrateful.

It sums up Obama, his wife and his friends.

The pathetic reality of the current Democrat party. Older Democrats think they are still voting for FDR when in fact they are voting for Mao.

Not very many of those rodents left. The youngest rodent to legally cast a vote for FDR in his last election in 1944 would turn 85 in November. A better description is older rodents thinking Obama is JFK. Unlike Obama, however, JFK had 14 years of DC experience in the House and Senate (contrasted against Obama’s 3 1/2 years) and he wasn’t a nutter. He was the last remotely center-right Democrat ever nominated or elected President.

“Kilpatrick endorses Obama”

If Obama worshippers had one iota of sense, that would be the kiss of death.
