Rudy Giuliani may be out of the presidential picture for now, but he may swing the election towards McCain. According to Katy Grimes at Townhall, he has the sledgehammer that just may deliver Barack Obama a knockout punch, again, all because his wife has a big mouth.

The buzz about a tape surfacing of Michelle Obama ranting about "Whitey" together with Louis Farrakhan and the Reverend Jeremiah Wright is interesting, if not a deal breaker. When it comes out, Barack will be permanently branded with the Nation of Islam - not a good tag when running for President of the United States.

What’s on the Michelle Obama Rant Tape?
Here’s what’s known so far:

The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women’s Event.

Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks.

Bill Clinton spoke during the Conference, as did Bill Cosby and other speakers, but not at the panel Michelle attended.

Michelle Obama spoke at the Women’s Event, but referenced Bill Clinton in her rant — his presence at the conference was the impetus for her raving, it seems.

For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on “whitey”, and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that’s when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who’s seen this.

The “tape” is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity’s site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.

This outburst happened just one month before the 2004 Democratic Convention, when Barack Obama delivered the keynote address.

If that's true, I find it hard to believe ONLY one person has it. That's the same timeframe as when everyone was downloading and/or purchasing Rev. Wright's sermons from their site.

This is just awful all the way around, but coming from Sherry Palmer, it's no surprise. All the hate from Rev. Wright and the poobahs in that church isn't nearly as appalling as the behaviour of the people in the pews, cheering and applauding. Talk about a punch in the guts...

But the interesting thing about this rumor is how it is taking on a life of its own. It almost doesn’t matter anymore whether or not there actually is a tape.

Trinity stopped selling their DVDs when they got busted for Rev Wright. Opposition research purchased many to comb through for incriminating evidence about the Obamas. But would they have thought to waste their time looking at the Rainbow/PUSH DVDs? That would be pretty hard to stomach even for the most dedicated researcher. But now that the exact conference has been identified, the clip itself will inevitably become public. The problem is that the sort of people who would buy the DVD (people who attended the event) are exactly the sort who don't want to hurt Obama, and therefore not likely to part with their DVDs. But if someone did buy ALL their DVDs for research, this might still be out there.

The more specifics that are coming out, the more horrible this sounds. Beckle said flat out yesterday that this video would destroy the Obama campaign. We thought that, perhaps, he was exaggerating and the media would be able to provide cover by claiming the remarks were taken out of context. But since then it's become clear there is no way to take these remarks out of context. If she said what it's been suggested she said, she's managed to outdo Rev Wright and Rev Phlem combined.

So let's be super-clear : THIS is why Hillary Clinton hasn't dropped out of the race.

Even if it were to exist as a copyrighted property there would be no legal barrier to showing it publicly as long as there is no money involved. It would be akin to reading a book aloud in a public space. If the supposed tape had been sold then the buyer could show it as often and in any arena as he wanted as long as it was not for profit.

This is my only comment on this subject. I will wait for proof.

I think it's simply because, once you've become aware of potentially big news, with the ability to change face of the election, it is very hard to keep your mouth shut. Bob has increased his level of notoriety.

I go back and forth on this but have decided to take a wait and see attitude. Forgetting about what is on the tape for a moment, the whole Trinity Church episodes show Obambi to be a typical dim who is completely unfit for any office. If I belong to a racist church for 20 years and decide I want to become president, common sense dictates that I blow them off asap. Even start writing letters to the right rev. Wright showing my dissatisfaction with the Church. But not Obambi, he has the arrogance and silliness to believe that his racism can never be an issue and therefore he has no need to take any corrective measures. Alright, so I’ll cut him a break and say his wife kept them there. But Sean Hannity and the guy from Nat Review nailed Wright on TV one year ago. Now I know the average lib believes that the only people watching Fox News are gun toting conservatives that never leave the house, send an email or pick up the phone. But how on God’s earth could they think after this thing was on TV that it would never become general knowledge. And then that CYA speech where he threw his grandmother under the bus. That was his opportunity to cut off Wright and he totally blew it.

Now this tape which may or may not exist. He is finished. But lets face it, he was finished before. Losing West Virginia was the final nail in his coffin. No Dim has won the pres election without winning WV since 1916 and that was during WWI. Obambi is toast, everyone knows it and the media is just trying to make this horse race look competitive.
