Last month’s 493 drug-related killings in Mexico made May the deadliest month yet in the government’s fight against drug cartels, according to tallies reported by Mexican media.
In addition to increasing overall violence, a closer look at the homicides reveals other disturbing — albeit not too surprising — trends.

A large number of Mexican officials and authorities have been involved with these cartels for many years. Frankly, they brought this on themselves and I really have no sympathy for them.
Wondering if there is a control problem with the 27,000 active as well the other 213,000 troops?
It’s documented and reported in the past that the Cartels are not only killing, but buying off the loyalties of Mexico’s armed forces/police personnel as well.
Perhaps Mexican Government is in a bit of a quandry as to who can be trusted to send to fight the Cartels.

Absolutely terrifying. As soon as we figure out whether steroids are widely used in pro sports, as soon as we get our hands around sequestering carbon and how to make Al Gore at least ten million this year from his AGW scam, perhaps we can address the issue of highly armed, infinitely funded, ultraviolent gangs penetrating our borders, importing drugs and running illegal aliens into the country.
Those guys are only here to make a better life for themselves and their children... right?
