They are probably in shelter. Prayers.
Seems it narrowly (But clearly) missed Flossmoor and Homewood to the East.
Prayers for your family. Let us know when you get a hold of them.
Storm just cleared Lansing, and is across the border in Indiana. If you need help getting in touch with family, let me know. I’m a short drive down I80 to Lansing.
I know that others are in danger, and I 'm just talking about property...
25 minutes or so from me. If you're the MP I think you are, let me know if you need help.
Prayers, ray. I know Lansing pretty well.

Tribune staff reports
7:25 PM CDT, June 7, 2008A tornado has touched down in Cook County near Richton Park, and other touchdowns were reported in Will and Livingston counties.
A tornado warning for extreme southeastern Cook County has been canceled, the National Weather Service reported at 7 p.m.
The thunderstorm which prompted the warning has exited the area although a tornado watch remains in effect until 8 p.m. for northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.
In Will County, a section of Interstate Highway 57 has been shut down due to downed power lines and an overturned semi truck caused when a tornado crossed the roadway.
The closure is just north of the Manhattan/Monee Road interchange near milepost 336, said Lt. Jody Oseman with the Illinois State Police.
"It crossed from one side to the other," Oseman said of the tornado. "There are some vehicles that were damaged or crashed because of the storm."
The roadway was closed at about 6:30 p.m. and it's unclear when it will reopen. Officials are currently assessing the downed power lines to see if they are live and are checking power poles for structural damage to ensure more don't come down.

Thanks. My parents are in Lansing, IL though. Not Michigan.
Would that be anywhere near the Michiana area, namely Niles/Buchanan/South Bend? Niles is where I grew up and my parents still live in Buchanan. They do get some wild weather there. Last year I was down at N.D. studying and a wicked storm knocked a tower off the Basilica at N.D. and wiped out half the trees on campus. Anyway, whereever you are, I hope you are safe.
