Note how Rockefeller voted to knife his own state's coal miners
I live in CT. I got nuttin’ and no one.
Hmmm....Presidential Nominees McCain, Obama and Nominee Wannabee Clinton didn’t vote. No guts; no glory ... !
Amazingly, one of the few times our RINO, Chuck Hagel, voted more conservatively than his Dem counterpart (Nelson).
No, our FL RINO Martinez and Dem traitor Nelson (elected because the GOP stabbed Katherine Harris in the back) voted exactly as we expected them to- against common sense.
The two aholes from Virginia voted for it. The f’er Warner needs to retire, he’s no better than a rat. Adios, MoFo!
Wow... Commrade Sherrod Brown said nay?
Why didn’t Cornyn vote?
I hope he’s got a REALLY good excuse!
i have boxer and feinstein, the village idiots.
North Carolina split the difference.
Ol’ Shjt’s Brown thought L-W didn’t go far enough. Dorkan (no typo) would have voted ‘yea’, but — gee! — all of a sudden his state is about to become a BIG player in crude, and a ‘yea’ vote would likely cost him his seat.
Dole says she voted for it because she is worried about the effect global warming could have on national security. I am NOT kidding that’s her excuse.
Ping!
Elizabeth Dole is about as bright as Kay Bailey Hutchison - but somebody must have told K-B the right way to vote this time!
So did Missouri. I’m not sure Bond knew what he was voting against, but at least he voted no...
Too bad Dole doesn’t see illegal immigration and open borders as threats to national security.
Hmmmm... Cornyn (R-TX) didn’t vote but Hutchison (R-TX) voted against the scam.
Too bad Dole doesn’t see illegal immigration and open borders as threats to national security.
My senators are Clinton and Schumer ... NY is doomed.
I’m shocked, shocked I say.
(Maybe he did notice an increase in phone calls from small businesses on this issue. I called!)
Katherine Harris would have voted for it too.
Did your senator say “no” to carbon hysteria?
Durbin and Obama. What do you think? LOL
Thankfully Obama is more interested in campaigning than doing what he gets paid for.
I was wondering about Cornyn, I think I will call his office and find out.
I went right to the “K’s” in the Commie section and was not surprised.
Thanks for the reminder and the contact info!
One of my (TX) senators, Kay Bailey Hutchison, voted NO. Good girl!
The other (John Cornyn, normally a reliable conservative voice and vote) did NOT vote.
I just called his office. Actually got to talk to a human being, for a change (I usually get voicemail).
I asked him why the Senator didn’t vote on the climate change bill. He said “because he was in Texas”.
I asked him WHY he was in Texas instead of in Washington doing the job we hired him to do, and reminded him that this issue is a very important one for Texans and for the nation. He said he didn’t have an answer for why the senator was in Texas vs. Washington.
I asked him how Senator Cornyn would have voted, had he been present. He said the Senator was opposed to the bill.
I told him I was disappointed in the non-vote and he promised to pass that along.

See #28.
Maybe y’all should call too. Our Senators not voting on important issues is frustrating!
“Dole says she voted for it because she is worried about the effect global warming could have on national security. I am NOT kidding thats her excuse.”
And to think there was a movement to launch her as the first female Republican presidential candidate...
Like that's gonna happen.
Probably so. Maybe even McCollum.
Senators not voting can only mean one thing - they are cowards to their convictions and plan to play their lack of voting to both sides of the issue in their home states. McCain and Obama are the worst of the bunch!
Your wrong about Katherine just cause she got thrown under the bus by the RHINOS does not mean she don’t know what she is doing she will be back

In Cornyn’s case, I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was in TX campaigning or fundraising. He’s up for re-election this year.
In FreeAtlanta’s list of (R) senators that didn’t vote or voted “Y”, Sen. Cornyn is the only one that I would argue shouldn’t be tarred with the same brush. He is ideologically conservative, he does his best to LEAD rather than follow, and he generally has the courage of his convictions — he’s reliably conservative, not squishy like Kay Bailey.
Nevertheless... in my view it is UNACCEPTABLE to miss votes (and debates!) as important as this one, unless he’s sick (REALLY sick) or there’s a death in the family. Other excuses are just that — excuses.
Warner is an embarrassment. I expect it from Webb.
I live in CA...NUFF SAID!!
Frankly, the whole carbon credit and cap and trade scam seems like nothing so much as a parallel monetary system; designed to be put into place and no doubt to be followed by a “fiat” lending and credit system controlled much like our current fiat system...by an elite group of carbon bankers.
You’re right. She is a moron.
From the N&O
http://www.newsobserver.com/politics/story/1098327.html
She had her eureka moment more than a year ago, after poring over the science about climate change and coming to the conclusion that the Earth definitely is getting warmer.
She was further persuaded when two Senate buddies on the Armed Services Committee — Independent Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and Republican John Warner of Virginia — talked to her about climate change’s impacts on national security.
She signed on and became one of just a handful of Republicans to support the bill, which allows companies to “buy” credits in exchange for emitting carbon.
She says the bill will lessen dependence on foreig
I have just emailed my thanks.
Mmmm... let’s see... Kerry - uh huh ... Kennedy... out sick but on record as global warming lunatic... Rep. Neal... also represents Northampton, MA, and is a proud leftist butt boy...
I think this is what we can hope for the next 4 years no matter who wins in Nov.
OOPS! I didn’t get the whole quote
She says the bill will lessen dependence on foreign oil.
“We’re almost 60 percent dependent on foreign sources of oil, and look at where it comes from: Russia, the Middle East, Venezuela,” she said.
YET she opposes drilling offshore or in ANWAR I predict she loses in Nov.
RINO Mel.What a shock-Mel Martinez(R-Fla)voted yes.I’m still steamed that he supported the McCain/Kennedy immigration(shamnesty)bill. This man doesn’t give a flip about the people he was ELECTED to represent.Anecdote:Prior to the McCain/Kennedy vote lots of us called our respective senators offices to express our displeasure re the proposed legislation. No one anwsered the phone at Martinez’s office-couldn’t even leave a recorded message. At least Nelson’s office took my call.
My Senator is McQueeg and didn’t vote, so, thanks for nothing John.
My other Senator, Kyl, voted the right way, so thanks, John!
