* SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR... BRADLEY COUNTY IN EAST TENNESSEE... THIS INCLUDES THE CITY OF CLEVELAND... MCMINN COUNTY IN EAST TENNESSEE... POLK COUNTY IN EAST TENNESSEE... THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF...DUCKTOWN...BENTON...
* UNTIL 115 AM EDT
* AT 1238 AM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING PENNY SIZE HAIL...AND DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING FROM 6 MILES SOUTH OF CLEVELAND TO 12 MILES SOUTHWEST OF DUCKTOWN...AND MOVING NORTH AT 38 MPH.

Good! Am in central NC and did not know neighbors in TN were having storms....which usually come our way the day or so after they hit you guys.

Hang tight Nana, it just passed through Memphis but didn’t last long. We lost power for about 5 minutes and heavy rain but it wasn’t as bad as I had expected.

first June that i had to have my airconditioner on in years..
I usually dont need AC till Aug
I have windows all round and lots of ceiling fans..
This first lot of weather came north out of Dalton towards Knoxville

but theres that big front coming East shortly that cant miss you..

Havent had any lightning for a while..
Nana how long has it been going on there? I know it is always worse in Jackson where my son lives. I think the bluffs help us a lot here with the winds.

Appears to be looking east towards Asheville at the Black Mountains, Mt. Mitchell, Mt. Craig to the left of the sun and Clingmans Dome> Looks like Asheville is in the valley to the right of the sun.

FYI: I grew up in Boone, NC and have trout fished from WV down into GA.
It sounded quite active when it moved past us. We’re here in far north-western Union county, GA. It just skirted us.
This was a cabin I rented outside of Pigeon Forge off of Wears Vally Road. Beautiful cabin and an excellent company called "American Patriot Getaways". Very good customer service I might add. The cabin was immaculate.
I was born in Memphis, but moved soon afterwards. Love to go back and visit the East side, though. The kids love it!
