... McCain's campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) fastened on a Wall Street Journal report that said that Jim Johnson, the mortgage executive leading Obama's vice presidential hunt, had received preferential home loans.
... the Republican's chief economic adviser Doug Holtz-Eakin said the reported loans to Johnson from Countrywide Financial raised troubling questions.
"And I thought it was remarkable that Senator Obama could talk about housing, talk about ethics, and fail to mention that he entrusted the single most important decision in his campaign, the choice of the vice presidentil running mate, to a gentlemen, Mr. Johnson, who benifitted from preferential lending at Countrywide and state financial payouts," he told reporters.

Obama - after being challenged over this - fired back at McCain and tried to accuse him of the same thing. Nothing new here for Obama.
McCain, though, said that the man that Obama accused was no longer in his employ, and was an unpaid volunteer, not an advisor like Jim Johnson.
In the end, Obama is no more "turning the page" with Jim Johnson than he is with having Eric Holder - an old Clinton crony - being on his team to find a VP for Obama.
If anything, he is turning it backwards.
What say you?
” He’s not the same Jim Johnson that I’ve known for the past 20 years”, Obama said.
Honestly? As a nation, we’ve pretty much accepted the fact that long-term Washintonites are all pretty much corrupt. So what’s the big story here? He got a favorable loan rate? Yawn.
Problem is, Obama said that he was a “new kind of politician.”
He said that he was going to “turn the page.”
So, you pretty much admit that Obama is lying about both.
BTW, remember Tony Rezko?
Another housing scandal for Obama.
Rezko is a longimte friend of Obama’s and held fundraisers for Obama.
Add Jim Johnson to the list of items (wife, church, radical buddies) we’re not allowed to ask about.
Obama does not get to decide what anyone gets to talk about.
Each person decides that for themself.
Rezko is a longimte friend of Obamas and held fundraisers for Obama.

Obama is a crook and a lying hypocrite. He is a radical liberal. Both one in the same in reality. This info should surprise nobody. McCain has more campaign fodder than he will ever need ALREADY. Now he should really put it to work.
I just love that headline. Those biased republicans, dredging up scurrilous ethics charges against fine upstanding Democrats in some sort of attempt to derail Obama’s march to glory.
“So whats the big story here? He got a favorable loan rate? Yawn.”
The big story is that in 2006, the Dems and the Marxist Media hammered on ‘Republicans’ as being ‘corrupt’ in order to secure the dems a victory in the House and Senate.
All the while, they ignored every evidence of Democrat dirty dealing and now they have a Presidential Candidate who just loves to surround himself with ‘dirty dealers’ and might just be as corrupt as they come.
Stay tuned.........
The REALLY big story is on the front page of the Washington Post today...how Fannie Mae is directly responsible for the subprime mess. It’s about damn time somebody got this story right. This is the REAL scandal that Jim Johnson needs to answer for, as well as Barack Obama and all of his Democrat friends on Capitol Hill who have blocked any kind of regulation or oversight of Fannie Mae for years.
Thanks!
Excellent Point!
Headed to find the article.
Obama, when you sleep with dogs, you will wake up with fleas. I am sincerely pleased that many people retain their sanity and are exposing you for the liar that you are.
I am still amazed that a major political party in the most powerful nation on Earth has selected a completely clueless dumbass as their nominee. The man doesn’t have the résumé to be a dog catcher in a one horse town, let alone be president of the US.
Eric Holder is at the heart of a bigger scandal...for much closer to election time...in that it was Holder who "secured" and "vetted" Billionaire felon Marc Rich's last minute Clintonian pardon.
