He sued after his high school held the ceremony in a Baptist church
TRENTON, N.J. - A Muslim student who sued because his public high school graduation ceremony was held in a Baptist church has received an apology from the largest school district in New Jersey and assurances that it will not hold future events in houses of worship.
Bilal Shareef said he had to skip his 2006 graduation from West Side High School because his religious beliefs prohibit him from entering buildings containing icons of God.
"I was forced to choose between honoring my education and my faith, and no one should be put in that position," Shareef, now a college student, said in a statement. "I'm proud I stood up for my beliefs and I'm proud that my experience will keep other students from having to face the choices I did."

Yeah, change the policy because of one crybaby!
Coming soon:
Tear down all Christian churches
Keep letting these islamofscist terrorists in and we will soon be forced to do this and more.
I wonder if this Bilal Shareef has ever visited a museum of history?
His big chance to be special, round one.
How come all the Jews, agnostics and other nonBaptists don’t “feel like outsiders” for using a church as a building?
Hint to Bilal- maybe you feel like an outsider because you are!
Stay tuned for next week’s exciting episode of “Something Else to Whine About”!
I truly believe he was just wanting to create a fuss to show what big jerks, some Muslims are.
Every day I become more convinced that enabling islamic immigration to the USA is high treason.
I've got news for you Bilal, it's moves like these that show you to be the outsider that you really are.
WHY WHY WHY do we keep apologizing and WHY WHY WHY in most cases do we give into their wishes.........IMO, if you don’t like it here, get lost, go back to whatever third world hell hole you came from, you certainly won’t be missed here.
The bigger jerks are the officials who caved. The man should have been told, “Too bad. Get over it. Get lost.”
The ACLU has just appeased a member of a religion which, in Muslim countries, declares all other religions to be illegal. I'd like to know just how many Christians the ACLU represents in those countries. Oh, wait, that would be none.
With every instance of America's "justice" system placing more value on Islamic culture than on our own, the Islamofascists make another step forward in their agenda of overthrowing western civilization.
But he doesn't recognize Christ as being God, so what's the problem?

LOL! Best comment of the thread so far.
You’d think the Jewish lawyers in the ACLU (which is heavily staffed by them) would know better than to cut their own throats.
Stage 1:
Start immigrating - move into a country quietly
Stage 2:
Begin starting churches: “learning centers” community helps: food etc.
Stage 3:
Political activism: demanding rights, denounce derogatory comments/press etc.
Stage 4:
Get elected, pass laws favoring rights etc. move toward political majority
Stage 5:
Political control, Sharia Law
My thought exactly. And what about all those arabic depictions of Mo?

....thank you, thank you, thank you SVCW....your post should be made into stickers to be put up around the country.
What does he care about another religion's icons? Muslims have no icons, which is fine, but this is just another effort to impose his religious standards on others. IOW, stealth Sharia law.
OTOH, he didn't try to blow up those Christian icons, as his Taliban brothers did in Afghanistan, when they blew up the Bamiyan Buddas, which had been carved into a cliff face around the 3rd century A.D. (C.E. for him). (These were the tallest standing Buddas in the world, at 53 and 36 meters)

Maybe next time.
No crosses? But you are right, Baptist Churches do tend to be on the unadorned side, compared to those of other denominations.

First Baptist Church of Lafayette, Louisiana
Next three are from New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, Lithonia, GA:

Oh wait, an icon
, a rather large one.
Those folks in Lithonia better put up the anti truck bomb barricades.
F this muzzie and his aclu lawyer!!!
let him go to some arab hell hole and live!!!
What depictions? But such as there might be, they don't consider Mo to be a God, only God is God to them. Three Gods in One is one thing they "like" less about Chrisianity than Judism.
What a retard. Baptist churches don't have "icons of God" in them. He probably has the typical stereotype that Muslims have that every Christian church is covered in idols of Mary, crucifixes, and all that other garbage.
The ones with angels and flying horses and such that I have seen. They scream about any depiction of mo, but their history has many example of drawings of his life events.
“...that every Christian church is covered in idols of Mary, crucifixes, and all that other garbage.”
Hmmmmm.......it sure is nice that YOU have such an open mind, Titus.
Do they just make this stuff up as they go along, or is there a comprehensive list of "The Rules" somewhere?
Whiner.
I remember after 911, one of the liberal baptist churches in my town invited the local imam to their church to speak, and I do not think he died from it, or even got sick. And I think that the mega-church, Willow Creek, outside Chicago, also had a muslin come and speak in their church, and he did not died or get sick either.
Didn't keep the Moslems out of Hagia Sophia; nor the Palis out of Church of the Holy Sepulcher...or countless others that they took over either permanently or temporarily.
And that doesn't count the ones they looted & pillaged, before razing them.
Islam is a weak faith. If is afraid of losing members to it tries to hold on to them through fear and strong-arm tactics. Most religions have outgrown that if they ever had it. No Islam.
I highly doubt a Baptist church had icons in it.
Oddly enough, having an "open mind" is very, very low on my list of priorities.
There are some people who hate Christianity more than they fear Islam
The ACLU and Islam are on the same side, at least for now.
Western Judeo-Christian culture is to be destroyed. Then they’ll worry about their differences.
