One of the most disconcerting aspects of liberal bigots is their insatiable appetite for tearing down anything American in order to build up anti-American sentiment. The issue over the Confederate flag is an excellent example. Most liberals have nothing but contempt for one of the most lasting and cherished symbols of the South; preferring to label those who revere the Confederate flag as red-necked racists and hate mongers. To most liberals, diversity is a terrific concept, except when it spawns tolerance for ideas and practices the left opposes. Amazingly enough, those same self-righteous liberals who are so anxious to disembowel American citizens for displaying the Confederate flag will defend millions of illegal aliens who take over our streets while boasting the Mexican flag! If ever there was a flag that should be banned in America, it is the flag of Mexico, our third-world neighbors who dump their illiterate peasants on the U.S. side of the border for U.S. taxpayers to feed, house, educate, and provide medical care for.

Has to be the criminal aliens waving a foreign flag as a sign of conquest.
The Confederate Flag however is a part of American history. Like it, hate it or be indifferent towards it, it’s part of how we got where we are today.
Ever hear of the Mexican Cession? Utah, Nevada, California, Arizona and parts of Wyoming, Colorado and New Mexico were once all part of Mexico. So the same could be said for the Mexican flag: "Like it, hate it or be indifferent towards it, it's part of how we got where we are today."
The U.S. citizens have the right of free speech guaranteed by the Constitution, the Mexicans don’t.

The difference is that American CITZENS are the ones waving the Confederate flag. Ilegals waving Mexican flags are just unarmed invaders counting on demographics to win in the next 20 years.
Hmm and the owners of both flags lost.
So you're cool with U.S. citizens flying the Mexican flag? How about in those states that used to be part of Mexico, would you like to see the Mexican flag flying above their state capitols since it's part of their heritage and history?
My girlfriend’s neighbor is a wannabe klansman. He hung a confederate flag in his window till my girlfriend’s uncle showed up wearing a shirt with a confederate flag on it. (the uncle is black)
Now the junior klansman has dropped his love of the south and replaced his confederate battle flag with a swastika.
I prefer the term “foreign invader”.
Since January, more than 1,300 people have been killed in execution-style hits or gunned down in fire fights, which often rage for hours in broad daylight and turn residential neighbourhoods into war zones. If the trend continues, 2008 will top last year's toll of 2,500 deaths in drug-related killings. You don't hear so much about Americans at the Border. Too bad.
More Americans killed by illegal aliens than Iraq war, study says Think about it. A man or woman killed in Iraq or Iran in the line of duty is a hero. But what is an American killed at home by an illegal alien because the government has failed in its sworn duty to guard the borders. This is a pact between the sovereign and the person has paid taxes and loyalty. The answer is to that question is pretty awful. And it bodes ill for the republic.
But is it true?
When you start digging into the numbers the only ones that can be sourced with the feds are the number of American murdered in 2005: 16692
I have seen federal numbers for illegals held in jail ranging from 19.3% to 27% of the federal prison population.
Here's a sampling of USA cities wanted for murder. What you'll see is that in big USA cities like LA or NYC most of the murderers are Hispanic. Unknown are the % of illegals. In smaller cities the FBI will post the nationalities of the murderers. About 25% of the most wanted are illegals wanted for murder. This number agrees with the percentage of illegals incarcerated in federal prisons. +-25%Pictures of top 10 most wanted in LA. Up until recent stories about crime in LA posted by the LA Times--the pictures included the nationality of the murderers. They were all foreign nationals and mostly Mexican.
Wanted for Murder in New York City.
Chicago wanted for Murder
Philadelphia wanted for murder
San Francisco wanted for Murder
New Orleans wanted for Murder
Pictures of suspects wanted for murder in Washington DC
FBI USA 10 most wanted. (two of 10 are Mexican nationals) Around 40% of the FBI's wanted for murder are Mexican Nationals
There are currently no exact numbers on the number of Americans killed by illegals. Part of the reason is that the government deliberately obscures the number. I talked on the phone with the head of statistics for the US Bureau of Prisons. He said his office wasn't allowed to publish the number of illegal alien murderers. Rather they were forced to put legal and non legal residents in the same category. He said further that most of illegals in the federal prisons were in for drug related charges. Most of the illegals in jail for murder were in the state prisons. I talked to ICE. They put out detailed numbers on illegal child molestors. However, they put out nothing on illegal murderers.
Part of the reason for the silence on the matter is that there is evidence to suggest that most Americans--but by no means all -- being killed by illegals are black--as is the suggestion in this LA Times Article. Also this article from the LA Times. And here. This makes intuitive sense. We see stories regularly of drug gang killings in Mexico but we don't see those same stories in the USA. The reason we don't see those stories is not because its not happening. Rather we don't see the stories about illegals killing blacks because that kind of story is terribly politically incorrect. The populations being displaced in downtown sanctuary cities especially are American blacks. That means that their criminal elements would be pushed aside by Mexican gangs as well. That's also the story that the wanted for murder posters in all the major cities seems to suggest.
Why isn't there an outcry in the black community? Beats me.
Nevertheless, the pattern of non reporting is starting to break. Discovery Channel has a series called Gangland that mentions ethnic cleasing of blacks by Mexican gangs
Reported Foreign Nationals on Death Row in the U.S.
To look at other USA cities go here http://stlouis.fbi.gov/ and replace stlouis with the city you want.
All that said the true number of criminal aliens is far higher than is revealed by criminal aliens in prisons. Most are simply waived through the courts.DHS Secretary Chertoff, has been quoted as warning that two million people in this country illegally have committed serious crimes. If you check the links you'll notice that its McCain who cites Chertoff. See also here and here Here is more info from Judicial Watch.
However the number of illegals on death row is far lower. Sadly, so many small towns and villages across America have sent their warriors off to war half way across the world only to see communities fill up with illegal aliens.
No US Citizens ever touched the Battle Flag,Only Americans, and America lost.Look around.
Tens of millions of Mexicans invaded the US. They and their descendants are given college tuition. Liberals love them, their flag and especially their votes. I guess you do too.
It was’nt H.K. Edgerton was it.?
“Most liberals have nothing but contempt for one of the most lasting and cherished symbols of the South; preferring to label those who revere the Confederate flag as red-necked racists and hate mongers.”
I was stunned when I returned to the US after a 20-year absence and read “Stars Fell on Alabama” on the AL license plate instead of “Heart of Dixie”.
So I asked myself what would Ed Anger make of this issue.
And found an article by him on the net.
He says in part:
Descendants of those brave Southern boys who died on the battlefields of Bull Run, Five Forks and Antietam were the heroes of Argonne Forest in '17, Iwo Jima in 1945 and in Korea in the winter of '51.
Okay. But when you look at how many Mexican-American kids were involved in those words and the ones since, it takes some wind out of Lollypop's sails.
Some of Ed's other ideas may be a little too extreme:
In fact, I'm firmly convinced that we ought to fight the Civil War one more time just to settle this thing once and for all. We could divide up the states exactly as they were when the first war was called a draw at Appamattox Corthouse back in 1865.
We'll have all the armies return to exactly where they were on that fateful April afternoon--and then we'll get it on!
When the smoke clears this time, the United States will fly one flag or the other--either Old Glory or the Stars and Bars. And if, like last time. there is no clear winner, we'll go to Sudden Death just like in the National Football League.
Hmm,did we really? Is that why northerners are moving to the south in record numbers?I dont know of many southerners moving to the north. You have nascar tracks up north as well so guess what.We won.
Had to look up Edgerton.
Nope uncle Jesse is just a retired foundry worker who happens to be black and from the south.
Not yet, but NASCAR’s definitely losing its twang.
I’m still getting over the fact that there are tracks in Delaware and Pennsylvania...
Just pinging you. I need to go hunt a link up and I’ll be back.
I'm a southern girl. That said, can't I pick "both"?
We got MIS in 69 and it’s still got two big races every year. However there are a lot of descendant southerners here.
Interesting how many on the left who have a problem with the Confederate flag are the same ones who are critical of “conservative flag-wavers” and disdain what they see as “excessive patriotism.
As for me, I don’t fly the Confederate flag from the 1860s or the Union flag from the 1860s. Nor do I fly any flag of my ancestors’ home countries. I fly TODAY’s US flag - 13 stripes, 50 stars.
I do not favor returning any part of the US to its “former owners” - be it Mexico, France (Louisiana Purchase) or Englans (13 colonies). But that’s just me.
Did I manage to offend everyone? :)
Englans = England
Can we then agree that Sam Houston, Travis, Crockett, and the rest of the Alamo defenders were just a bunch of criminal illegal aliens invading a foreign country, wanting to spread slavery, and demanding that a foreign language be spoken in their schools?
PS I believe something like six percent of the US population was dead at the end of the Civil War. That would be the equivalent of, say, thirteen million Americans today. Staggering.
The former is more offensive. The latter are Americans using a flag of their locale and heritage. The former are intruders who have no right to walk on U.S. soil, let alone hoist a flag over it.
Besides the Confederate flag is just a modified flag of St. Andrew...Scotland’s flag.

While not Confederate it is Southern History. 5 Regiments of US Colored Troops were raised in NC during the war. Here in NC during Black History month its as if they never existed.
As it goes for the Spanish American War, The Great War and WW II. We have a few members remaining from the 555th Airborne Infantry Regiment here in town and they barely get a nod come Feb.
No.
And I would bet a good man.
Over 600,000. Hard to even imagine. I’m not Ken Burns, and I’m not nearly as up on my Civil War history as some of our scholars here, but I believe the Battle of Sharpsburg accounted for over 20,000 dead.
The residents of the Confederacy were Americans. Your example is completely different.
Yes - I’m sure we really have no conception of it.
I live in the NYC area, and some nearby towns were hit hard by 9/11. But since the entire US population in 1860 was probably comparable to the present population of the greater NYC area today, maybe imagining 600,000 casualties in this area alone would approximate the horror.
Too much to contemplate. Good night!
From what I can tell he’s a very good man. He’s letting my girlfriend and I spend a few days in his cabin in northern Michigan over the 4th. He’s also invited me for some salmon fishing in the fall and says he lug me to the river on his back if he has too. (I walk with a cane or crutches and can’t get around in the woods as much as I’d like)
Over 22,000 killed, wounded or missing. In one day!
“Antietam”
You can always tell where someone comes from by what they call some of the battles, can’t you? Someone mentioned Bull Run the other day and I was confused ... then I remembered Northerners called it Bull Run. I learned it as first and second Manassas.
However I believe we use the same phrase for Appomatox. We just use different adjectives.
I don’t know. What were the immigration laws back then?
You had to become a Roman Catholic, couldn’t have any slaves, and your children had to learn Spanish. (the last law sounds real familiar)
I posted Antietam simply because the item is labelled "Casualties at Antietam".
My wife and I visited the site in mid-September, almost to the day of the battles's anniversary. We saw it in the same light and in the same kind of Indian summer weather as they saw it.
The corn, e.g., was at the same height.
We were awe-stricken at what must have happened there. It was one of the most memorable days of my life.
NO THEY WEREN'T!
They were invited in by the Mexican government to settle the Texas territory that, because of the the Kiowa, Apache and Comanche, very few Mexicans were willing to do! There were far more Americans, Germans, Poles, and others, than Mexicans in Texas at the time of the revolution in 1836.
mngran2 needs to brush up on history. Mexico wasn’t even a country until 1824 and had all but turned it’s back on these areas. So they only had this area for about 20 years. They invited in settlers. Since Mexico was part of France in the 1860’s maybe the western states should be part of France. We beat them in a war and we also paid for other parts. So in mngran2’s world after you are paid for something it is still yours.
Thanks for all the good information and the points you made in the post are accurate. Lou Dobbs deserves great credit because he was broadcasting these realities years before it became such a hot national topic. More recently, Hannity and Glenn Beck have done a good job alerting people to what’s going on.
Six percent of the 1860 U.S. population would be about 1.9 million people. I think you're wrong about that.
That’s hardly the point. Before there was a Mexican flag there was the Spanish flag. Following that logic we can also talk about an Aztec totem pole. The point is that liberal anti-Americans excuse the waving of a foreign flag carried by illegal invaders while trashing a flag that’s an inherent part of the American historical narrative. There’s a big difference.
Dixie Ping
There was a Confederate flag long before there was a Klan, which only emerged during Reconstruction and which has nothing to do with the original history and meaning of the flag.
I hope you’re not including me in that “I guess you do too” about loving their vote and flag!
That’s what made it funny to me. A black man proud of his southern heritage caused the wannabe klansman to drop his false love of the south and hang a nazi flag in his window.
