Seems to me that the Lefties are AFRAID that VP Cheney might campaign for McCain. ;)

"His view is very much that he will do whatever he can to get McCain elected,’ said a close Cheney adviser. ‘If that means doing nothing or not being out there very much, he’ll do that. If it means being out there, he’ll do that."

Too bad Slick didn't feel that way about "helping" Hillary. *SMIRK*

I guess Cheney and McCain don’t get along too well.

Not surprising.

I dislike Obama because he is a clueless loon who’s never held a real job in his life (nor could ne).

I dislike McKennedy because his sense of being a maverick totally undoes any good he did in the military.

A pox on both of ‘em. The Repub topheads better see about getting us a real candidate - and soon!! I’m not voting for either loon. Period.

Cheney has been known to shoot more than his share of dodo birds.

While I’d vote in a heartbeat for Dick Cheney,
I find it very hard as a Reagan Republican to support McCain the RINO.

If he has any sense, he will ask him to stay on as Vice President. (Not that this is going to happen anyway)

Dick’s getting ready for well deserved retirement years out in his beloved Wyoming. I think he will weigh what McCain thinks vs. if the trout are biting and make the right decision.

“I’m not voting for either loon. Period.”

I will vote (R). It’s my DUTY as an American. I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I sat on my hands come November.

How does one personally justify an Obama win? How does one personally justify expediting the further denigration of our Democracy?

I just don’t understand it.

What about Tommy Franks? They would be perfect.

Oh good grief.

This election is not about McCain (who is well known), it is about Barak Hussein Obama (a stranger).

Problem is, Tommy would be too big of a figure beside McCain.

It's amusing how a "journalist" with nothing much to write about can string together a couple thousand words about nothing at all.

Cheney will have nothing to do with McCain and McCain will have nothing to do with Cheney, period

So, nothing plus nothing equals nothing.

Or, as Juan Shakespeare put it, much ado about nada.

Cheney is awesome.
He should wear the scorn of the Enemedia like a badge of honor.

Au contraire, I think a hunting trip should be 'campaign event' number ONE. :)

Tommy Franks is a fine man, but if McCain were to go for a military figure, I nominate former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Marine General Peter Pace.

A finer officer and leader you will not find.

"I don’t think the McCain people want Cheney anywhere near him,"

GOOD!!! I wouldn't want Vice President Cheney to sully himself by doing anything that would help that poe.

‘I think it's clear that McCain’s biggest problem is with the conservative base of the party and that’s where the vice president is strongest,’ said a close Cheney adviser. ‘If McCain’s smart, that’s where he’ll use him,’

As much as I admire him, "using" VP Cheney will not change my mind about the user!

You are absolutely correct!

Another slogan the republicans can throw in the trash:
Republicans are the party of ideas!
