McCain in NC says that he would consider windfall profits for oil companies.

McCain/Waters 08
Hey, if reaching across the aisle is what it takes to win I’m all for getting screwed over.
I think I’m gonna be sick.
McCain now stands with Pelosi, Reid, Kennedy, Conyers, and the whole left.
Which party nominated this guy.....?
If Exxon’s smart, they’ll move their HQ to Mexico or the Cayman Islands.
This is extraordinary.
A windfall profits tax will not generate one more barrel of oil for American consumers.
And...and...the vast majority of oil in our world is controlled by governments and tin horned dictators. The large oil companies control only about 10 to 13%.
Who is McCain’s economic adviser? Soupy Sales?
where can i get a windmill for my chevy van?
If he reached across the aisle he'd touch a Republican.
Your posts are really starting to depress me.
After all of his years in the US Senate the man still does not have a basic understanding of high school economics. Who says that every young man and woman does not have a chance to be president. The only qualification seems to be desire.
“If he reached across the aisle he’d touch a Republican.”
I wish that was a joke.
What a freaking idiot.
Look at the bright side, he’s against drilling in ANWR.
McCain once again proves that he is essentially just a liberal, and even more economically retarded than most.
I think I'm going to write in "Sarah Palin" or "Bobby Jindal". Geesh!

“McCain is opposed to such taxes and has proposed across-the-aboard tax reductions for industry as a way to help the economy.”

Somebody needs to ask him how much Americans are willing to pay for a gallon of gas. After all, this is the same genius who says Americans won’t pick lettuce for $50 an hour.
I hope you are shorting financials...consider skf..... goes from 95 to 120s all the time
What most voters don’t realize is that this is two taxes on half or more of the investors in the country. Just guessing, would you think 60-70% of mutual funds have some oil company stock in them? Anyone that owns oil company shares will be paying this tax through lower dividends and higher prices at the pump.
“Who is McCains economic adviser? Soupy Sales?”
He said he didn’t know much about economics... he’s proving it!!!
Regulating compensation, confiscating earnings, supressing free speech, bowing to false climactic gods....and this is our competitor to a Democrat.
Hey Country Clubbers: He's gonna raise Greens Fees and tax Chardonnay next, and you'll finally be sorry your minority vote for this POS worked.
My Not Voting For McCain probability has gone up to around 90% now.
I think we might be merging soon . His favorite song "Ferando" by Abba ? Favorite movie Viva Zapata ?
McCain should be replaced at the convention.
The republicans sure as hell could use some ‘SuperDelegates’ at the convention.
If John McCain coached football, his name would be Jerry Faust.
If John McCain played baseball, his name would be Mario Mendoza.
If John McCain coached baseball, his name would be Gene Mauch.
If John McCain played basketball, his name would be Manute Bol.
If John McCain coached basketball, his name would be Isiah Thomas.
What did we do to deserve this?
You made me laugh! What a great comment in a sea of bad news.
Thanks , yes trying to change my usual strategy of buying high and riding it right into the ground .
His advisers are Don Luskin, Steve Forbes, and Larry Kudlow.

This is a F-up on his part. Really stupid.
I guess he isn’t listening to his advisers.
Well, he may have had a change of heart, who knows. This video is recent vintage though, 2008, not 2007 as I inadvertently posted. Here’s more McCain from 06 though...
On Wednesday, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., invoked the harshest image yet. “I think they have the least PR sensitivity of any group outside of satanic cults,” he said.
Responding to public outrage, McCain and his Senate colleagues on Wednesday asked the Internal Revenue Service to hand over the tax returns of the 15 largest oil and gas companies, saying they were concerned about excessive profits and outsized executive compensation.

Hey John, Don't forget beer distributors!
Cindy, Your "greedy" wife made over $6 million last year. Worst of all, she did it distributing beer in a fleet of large gas guzzling delivery trucks that put out huge amounts of CO2.
How about Cindy's corporate/private jets that you fly around in?
Good one. John “Mendoza” McCain. Be sure to bump this one during the late night hours when his followers meet to praise him.
I don’t care what he said in the past. He considered it and rejected it.
Oh, never-mind.... they crossed over in droves during the Florida Primary and selected our nominee McCain for us.
Apparently he is.
Don Luskin??? Isn’t he a PaulTard???
This sickness is going around. The more I learn and hear the sicker I get too.
Thanks again . I just saw it at 132 , I think I have to lay down now .
He was nominated by the Dems in Operation Frog Over.
care to elaborate on the definition of ‘obscene profits’?
