Geeze, giving back citizens some of their own money “saves” the economy.
Yo, Nancy, Harry, wouldn’t it be simpler just to let the taxpayers KEEP more of their own money?
Or is there some major difference between cutting taxes and giving rebates?
(Oh, that’s right, demonrats handing out “government” money will buy votes. Especially if those people don’t pay taxes to start with.)
Mine should come this week. It’ll go for binge shopping...New pots and pans..Trying real hard to buy USA!! But it’s almost impossible...
We paid big bucks so someone else could get our check.
Ok Joe six pack got his gas tank filled up for the month, a 20 pound bag of rice, eggs for the month, a dinner out at the local buffet restaurant for the family and a new pair of jeans and a couple cases of beer. The check is gone but the bills are still there whats next?
Does anyone over the age of 14 believe the Consumer Price Index published by the government?
Congress is stupid, incompetent or corrupt. I vote for all three.
Don’t worry about that... Not long ago a lib sent me an article that said we has zipped right past recession and landed smack dab in a depression. No biased reporting there....
I loved it when I burst his bubble of anti-Bush glee when I confronted him. He actually claimed to not know that recessions and depressions had specific definitions. They make it so easy.
Join the club.
When I inquired about my check, I received a reply stating that I didn't qualify because of the type of income I had reported (SS + W-9). Go figure.
Or is there some major difference between cutting taxes and giving rebates?
You can be taxed on a rebate, and Big Brother doesn't lose control of your money.
It depends on the last two digits of your social security. You should receive it no later than June 27th.
Last two SSN digits: | Payments will be mailed no later than (and received a few days after): |
00 through 09 | May 16 |
10 through 18 | May 23 |
19 through 25 |
May 30 |
26 through 38 | June 6 |
39 through 51 | June 13 |
52 through 63 | June 20 |
64 through 75 | June 27 |
76 through 87 | July 4 |
88 through 99 | July 11 |
Because the technical definition of a recession, from Econ 101, is two straight quarters of zero or negative economic growth”
Thanks. We know about the last two SS numbers. Thought we would be getting ours in the first batch, as we filed our taxes on February 14, but we split our deposit, so that delayed it. (didn’t know about the reason for that delay until after reading the small print on the website.)
We did get the pre-notice, but no check as of yet.
