That's my understanding, too. When I saw this headline, I thought, "Whaaa?"
Compassion is fine. Rewriting history is not. Certainly one can and should allow some time to pass, but that luxury is short circuited when the left tries to use the death of anyone they can claim to advance their cause.
The mainstream media is reporting that Russert died from a “heart attack,” but no press outlet has yet bothered to ask: “What caused the heart attack?”
Intolerance to the forces of your demise is prequisite for responsibility and trustworthyness. FR is often like taking a ride with a driver who offers panhandlers a lift and seats them next to you. I.e., socialism.

The Libby Trial: Did Fitzgerald Prove His Case?
We've heard the witnesses and seen the evidence. What's the verdict?
By Byron York
None of these people deserve to be glorified.
None of these people deserve to be glorified.
Isn't this the kind of question Russert himself would have been asking considering no one else is?
"At age 10 the madam put the child in a cage with a bear trained to couple with young girls so the girls would be frigid and not fall in love with their patrons. They fed her through the bars and aroused the bear with a stick when it seemed to lose interest."
To quote one reviewer: The book is laced with scatology, drunkenness, and torture. Subjects like urine, turds, armpits, pubic hair, bestiality, and menstrual cycles, flow from this literary trash. Libby describes quivering inner lips, arching backs, firm breasts, and everything is moist.
All I know for sure is that Scooter Libby is very loyal to his boss Dick Cheney, and Scooter will absolutely and positively get a Presidential pardon sometime between November 5th 2008 and January 20, 2009. The late Tim Russert was a Democrat, but I don’t think he was the sort to deliberately lie under oath for partisan reasons. Rest in peace, Tim.
“why was the objectionable Duke treated differently from other guests.”
Good God. Your moral equivalency is is unbelievable,
David Duke was a racist. He founded the Louisiana-based Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, formed the National Association for the Advancement of White People, he is a Holocaust denier and an ant-semite.
I lived thru his gubernatorial campaign. It would have set race relations and te “conservative movement” back 50 years
It is strange that he died so suddenly. Even after he had been given a clean bill of health by the doctors. True he had some chronic health matters, but nothing that would bring about such a major event. I suspect that something additional had to intervene such as his overseas flight. Of course, getting on the wrong side of HRC is also not a precursor of a long healthy life. He should’ve carried a St. Christopher medal and gotten communion at least once a week. When you're dealing with someone who has a list of over 200 people who have met untimely demises, you tend to take all precautions...like gathering up all your hair clippings before leaving a barber shop, burning all your old clothes instead of giving them away and never having them dry cleaned or washed outside your home. It also would've been best if he had worn garlic around his neck.
Should be banded....
Yet here you are posting quotes from this book you describe as sick.
When did you read the book that you would know so much about it?
“However, I dont think there is a reason to bring this bit up about Russert at this time.”
Actually Brokaw and NBC jumped on the chance to bring up the controversy around the Libby case with the very first report on Russert’s passing.
You’re right. It’s called respect, class, and compassion for his family.
I’m not saying anything bad about the libs because the moderators got mad and banned me for a week when I said something about TK. So I’m keeping my mouth shut because they don’t like you talking about bad about the libs on here.
May God Bless all the libs like Ted Kennedy ,Tim Russert,Bill Clinton, etc....
Aren’t you confusing Jim Webb’s porno talent with Libbey?
