Interesting...and surprising...usually, if memory serves, AOL polls tend to be liberal bastions. LOL

And BTW, Happy Birthday, Army!
See, I this ol' Jarhead didn't forget. BIG SMILE

So, you’ll stand aside and let Obama waltz into the highest office in this land?

Do you want Obama to be president?

Good news. Obama only has about 4 states. It’s gonna be a Republican blow-out this year.

Guess RINO McCain doesn’t need my vote.

That's a pretty red map! VT, SD, WA, & AK are the four states going for Obama. Hawaii and Illinois are even red states!

McCain 58%

Obama 42%

McCain is a RINO. No doubt about that.

Vote anyways, though. You can negate an Obama vote, thus disappointing Hamas and other terrorists.

That looks about what you would expect versus the
bogus polls pushed by the leftist media. Obama has peaked
with his coalition on young college students , wealthy liberals and blacks. No matter what he does , he won’t be abe to broaden his appeal. I’ve been saying for awhile that he gets no better than 44% of the vote on election day.

Such rationalizations are the reason McCain still rejects conservatism while sucking up to the left. The treacherous RINO is relying on Obamaphobia and not his personal worth to get the conservative vote
He may count on YOUR vote no matter how liberal he becomes—MINE doesn’t come so cheap.

YOU ALL CAN COMPLAIN ABOUT NOT VOTING FOR MCCAIN BUT HE
DOESN’T NEED OUR VOTE. HE CAN RUN LEFT TO MIDDLE AS A DEMOCRAT LITE AND BLOW THIS ONE OUT. MODERATE REPUBLICANS WILL VOTE FOR HIM AS WELL AS INDEPENDANTS AND CLINTON DEMOCRATS. I BET HE SELECTS LIEBERMAN AS HIS VP.

It’s clear-cut. Your non-help only gives Obama 1 up on votes in your state.

Most of us are less-than-thrilled about McCain. To put it mildly. Believe me, I haven’t forgotten about Shamnesty, for one thing.

But unless you’re *really* for Obama, and I hope you aren’t, help us defeat Obama. Then help us keep McCain in line.

Life doesn’t always give us the choices we want.

Now is not the time to stand aside.

Look,if McCain knows for sure that he can use Obamunism to scare conservatives into voting for his sorry arse,he will never make a conservative stand between now and November.
We need to convince McCain NOT to take our votes for granted or we will end up like African-Americans with their racist paranoia that damns them to march lockstep with Democrats who couldn’t care less about them—other than their vote.

And if McCain doesn’t change, you’ll let the worst choice, Obama, get in?

I’m not hammering on you personally. Just that we cannot let that happen.

We can hope McCain picks someone decent as V.P. but you can bet Obama is going to pick one just like him too.

McCain is pretty close to the bottom of my list of who I wanted to see running.

But Obama is even farther down that list. Even below Hillary (for me anyways).

We’ll have to battle McCain on his socialism. And we will. When the time comes.

What is my point?

Do you want Obama for President? It’s not complicated.

Conservatives who vote third-party or abstain are giving a boost to Obama.

Let’s at least be honest about that.

The “lesson” the GOP will learn from that is that they’ll move even further to the left.

If McCain thinks he can win by catering to moderates and liberals and socialists, let him.

If he wins with that strategy, then that’s the way the Republican Party will go, and conservatives can start their own party, or pick one of the liberal parties, or opt out.

If he loses, then maybe the Republicans will see they need conservatives to win and will become a more conservative party again.

You have a dang good argument.I’m only suggesting that conservatives declare that—right now—they cannot support McCain unless he at least makes a few key conservative compromises (like drilling in ANWR).
If you are saying that you will vote for McCain no matter what, you are folding with the only good hand you,or we,have.
My INTENTION to vote in November is,at this moment, unknown—at least that is what I want McCain to think.
My VOTING in November is,however,a seperate reality.
This is realpolitik and our only weapon.

I would expect the most “conservative” that McCain would have picked would be Huckabee (yes, I know) who would have at least bought him votes in southern states.

Right now, I can’t imagine who McCain would pick.

The choice is is between ‘bad’ and ‘worse’; and that is ALWAYS a more important choice, with the consequences more noticable than between ‘good’ and ‘bad’. Even more so than the differnece between ‘good’ and ‘better’.

Enjoy your excercise in futility.

And Strychnine is worse than a .45 through the temple.

“Apparently I cannot convince you Obama is worse”

I never vote on who is worse. I have 4-5 primary issues and if one is not in agreement with me on all of them (not hard, just be a conservative) then that person will not receive my vote. McCain is batting about .100 with me. Not good enough. No, it does not matter that Obama bats .000, I was never goingto vote dem anyway. Hell man, I had to hold my nose for Bush, TWICE because he was borderline liberal....McCain is a DAMNED site worse than Bush.

YES!! Yours, and everyone else's who either withholds a vote. Every vote NOT cast, is a lower number the Obamasiah needs for a win.

It MIGHT% work in a “safe” state, but certainly not in contested, or “battleground” states.

It is nothing more than a immature, ‘I didn't get my way, so I picking up my marbles & going home’ reaction.

I 'lost' money by donating early to Tancredo; I 'lostr' more, when I sent contributions to Thompson.

I am FAR from overjoyed with McAmnesty, but I LIVED AS AN ADULT DURING THE CARTER YEARS, and OBL BHO would be WORSE for this nation; and no matter how I have to hold my nose, I WILL do what I have to prevent a BHO presidency.

I got this 'third party' (Have NEVER not voted) "I'll show'm" crap out of my system long before RR was elected. Hint: My first adult presidential election (I could vote, as 21 was still the law) was working for Goldwater, while in college.

So be it, but YOUR choices seem to be, ‘surrender; die; or hold your breath until you turn blue.’

To me, the nation is too important for drama queen theatrics; there is a time for pragmatism; THEN work for Conservatism, since there is NO VIABLE CONSERVATIVE running.

But, as I first said, if BO wins, I do NOT want to hear a single bitch, gripe, or complaint from you & yours.
