The Pentagon Gets Ready For President Obama June 9, 2008: U.S. military planners are working on how to deal with another round of major cutbacks, in terms of budgets and manpower. This is because one of the major candidates for Commander-in-Chief (president of the United States), Barak Obama, has a video in circulation, of a short speech he gave earlier this year, about how he planned on handling the Department of Defense. His major points were;

"I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning; and as president, I will end it.

"Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending. I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems. I will not weaponize space. I will slow our development of future combat systems.

"I will institute an independent defense priorities board to ensure that the Quadrennial Review is not used to justify unnecessary defense spending.

"Third, I will set a goal for a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material; and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert, and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenal."

There were major cuts when the Cold War ended in the early 1990s, and when Bill Clinton won the presidency. The same drill is expected if Obama wins, and military planners are studying ways they better cope with a new round of cuts.

As someone who has been in uniform (Active and Reserve Air Force) since 1972 and as a civilian Air Reserve Technician (ART) since 1981, I am so glad that I'll be retiring from both in June of next year.


I went through both the Carter regime as a Traditional Reservist, which was incredibly bad; and later two terms of Clinton which was even worse!

I've already warned the youngsters I work with and train to expect a monstrous reaming from Obama, should he become the CinC, though it will only be slightly better if McCain wins the White House.

I honestly believe if Osama Obamamama becomes Prsident there will be a nuclear detonation on US soil before the end of his first term.

If he finds a way to get rid of most of our nuclear weapons then Russia will step up and threaten us to do as they dictate or else they will use nukes. Do not ever believe they would not use nuclear weapons on us if they know they could with impunity.

I was in a DoD office that fought tooth and nail with the Clintoon administration as they tried to unilaterally disarm us of or nukes.

They did great harm to our readiness, defense posture, and to the security of our country in general.

Obama said he would not unilaterally disarm and I think the numbers he was spouting off was consistent with the Bush-Putin nuke reductions.

Gay in the military really means to politicize the military, which would “civilianize” the military and turn it into an impotent police state. It’s against the law and the Constitution and would mandate the military to protect itself from this perversion. Technicaly we have the legal ability to stop liberal nonsense via military means (as a result of this violation), but we are a society of easy vaccines which does not understand strategy and does not like to “change ‘health’” behaviors.

AIDS and Gays are very tied together in this. The disease requires strategical treatment, but the diseased does not want to change behavior and strategy. It’s a metaphore. Super plagues will be the enforcer of the truth if our own military cannot defend itself.
