With Anti-U.S. Propaganda, Amnesty International Mocks Itself

Amnesty International recently released its annual human rights report and, like past years, the international human rights organization has decided to focus its aim at the world's most troubling human rights abuser: The United States of America.

"As the world's most powerful state, the USA sets the standard for government behavior globally," the introduction reads. "With breathtaking legal obfuscation, the U.S. administration has continued its efforts to weaken the absolute prohibition against torture and other ill-treatment."

The report's introduction – in which the United States is both the first country called out by name and the country to which the most space is devoted – goes on to blast the U.S. for "water-boarding," "secret detention and interrogation," Guantanamo Bay, military abuses in Iraq and even Blackwater contractors. And this is just the introduction.

If that weren't enough, the report continues to take on the U.S. juggernaut of terror by highlighting "the hollowness of the U.S. administration's call for democracy and freedom abroad . . ."

"the international human rights organization has decided to focus its aim at the world's most troubling human rights abuser: The United States of America."

Interesting. Amnesty International declared Iraq the biggest human rights abuser just prior to the start of the war.

The incessant propaganda from AI and its cohorts makes me wonder if there isn’t still a Cold War underway.

LOL - I noticed that too. “Breathtakeing” obviously does not apply to China, Russia, the mideast, Hugo or Achmedinijihad or their good friend Bobby Mugabe.

Well, it’s not known as Shamnesty without reason.

>> “The most glaring example of their neutering on human rights was the case of Myanmar in 2007 . . . The USA and the EU condemned the actions in the strongest terms and tightened their trade and arms embargoes, but to little or no effect on the human rights situation on the ground.”<<

Here’s what just happened in Burma. AI is a sham organization to even say this about U.S. efforts in Burma in the last weeks. They didn’t need ‘human rights’ they needed food, water, and medicines. The U.S. was shut out. Thousands and thousands have suffered and died. What does AI say about that?

Just remember that all the animals are equal. Just ask the pigs at Amnesty International.

I remember a movie in the 1990s called Closet Land. The movie was about a young childrens' story writer who was spirited away from her home in the middle of the night. There were only two actors - the police state interrogator (Alan Rickman) and the victim (Madeleine Stowe). It was well acted and well done. To the point, I think AI had something to do with it. This may have very well been when they had some credibility.

Fine. Revoke any tax-exempt status this pro-terror group may have in the USA. Put all of their employees who are foreigners on the no-fly list. If they hate this country so much, then let them go spew their verbal diarrhea from abroad.
