While I'm sure Tim Russert was a decent enough guy, his show Meet the Press had recently become unwatchable and should have been renamed "Meet the Democrats". This Week with George Stephanopoulos, long the joke of Sunday Morning politics shows, had become the better program, in my opinion.

Give Russert his due. He was one of the first journalist to question Chinagate and other Clinton scandals. He was one of those rare liberals with some objectivity and who was really a decent man and father.
