OTOH, there is I believe something to this in the womb influence, at least after conception. My sister in law, May She RIP, was described by my brother as “thick”, rather than fat, and it was a good description. However all her sisters are long and lean types. The difference? She had a twin brother. Of course there may have been an effect on him too, he’s rather effeminate and is gay, but she was the feisty one of the pair, hands down.
To an extent yes, but it's been know for some time that the mother's internal environment can affect the probabilities. The sperm carrying the Y and X chromosomes are not identical, even under an ordinary microscope. They react differently to that environment, and they perform differently as well. So there can be a timing effect between time of ovulation and time of insemination, but of course that is a joint effect of both parents.
Don’t researchers have anything better to be working on?
hard hitting, cutting edge journalism there. next up, how voodoo can help you win the lottery
