[Cal Thomas] The next attack: Coming soon
Jewish World Review ^ | June 17, 2008 | Cal Thomas

Posted on 06/17/2008 2:49:30 AM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

When the terrorists attack again — as Homeland Security has repeatedly warned us they will — how many survivors will be consoled because the Supreme Court and the State Department looked out for the "rights" of terrorists before the rights of their dead loved ones?

Will the dead be wrapped in a copy of the Supreme Court's 5-4 ruling granting foreign detainees, whose mission is to destroy our Constitution, our country and way of life, the right to appeal to U.S. civilian courts to challenge their detention, a right that should be reserved only for American citizens? Perhaps inside the caskets can go a statement by the State Department refusing to close Islamic schools underwritten by the government of Saudi Arabia, which teach visceral hatred of Jews, Christians and all things Western.

To the second issue first. Despite the recommendation from a federal panel that the Islamic Saudi Academy in Alexandria, Va., be closed for promoting hate, the State Department won't go along. State has jurisdiction because as part of the Saudi government, the school is subject to the Foreign Missions Act. A local Democratic politician running for Congress won't support the closing of the school, either. He is Fairfax County Board of Supervisors Chairman Gerry Connolly, who has reportedly called critics of the academy "bigots." Perhaps his position is related to a $2.2 million check he accepted from the Saudi Embassy to extend its lease.

Another reason Barack Obama cannot be elected president.

Too true... and also another reason John McCain cannot be elected president.

No matter when it comes the Libs will blame Bush, even if it is ten years from now.

It is way past time to de-legitimize that response. Our lives depend on it.

I had been thinking once Obama is president we might be safe for a little while because the terrorists won’t want to embarrass him or their Democrat friends right away. But now I have to wonder would they not want to strike early enough in the new administration so that the blame can still be on Bush?? These slimeballs are no dummies. They are well aware of the political situation in the US.

American lives are expendable. We must not “offend” anyone.

They will strike anytime immediately after Obama’s inaugural swearing-in ceremony. They will do so because they know there will be no retaliatory strike from an Obama administration. There will be apologies and offers of more foreign aid money, but Obama’s administration will not fight back, and they know it.

Maybe. But an attack early in an Obama presidency will throw his administration into complete disarray as he ponders whether or not to strike back or head for the negotiating table.

Maybe. But an attack early in an Obama presidency will throw his administration into complete disarray as he ponders whether or not to strike back or head for the negotiating table.<<

It won’t matter - there will be little left to do anything that matters. The corridor from Boston to Washington will be a nuclear wasteland; Chicago, Detroit and Toronto will be gone; and, either Atlanta or Houston will be dust. The rest of the South and California will escape because of distance or not worth expending another bomb. Besides, the terrorists attack in threes.

And that folks is our future if the current course plays itself out. Armageddon may not be in the Mideast after all and certainly the Antichrist is among us.

> head for the negotiating table.

To negotiate *WHAT* with *WHOM*?

Al Qaeda??

Their terms are nothing less than the following:

1. Conversion to Islam and imposition of Sharil Law

2. Dhimmitude, a euphemism for slavery

3. Death to those who refuse points 1 or 2

4. The destruction of Israel

Not necessarily in that order.

What is there to negotiate with these barbaric savages?

And it will STILL get blamed on Bush, so it will be a win-win-win all around for the enemies of America.

If, God forbid Obama gets elected and becomes President 9/11 will look like a child’s play when the next terrorist attack comes

Thank you Kaslin, good and true words.

And not only will 9/11 look like child’s play compared to the next attack life and living as we know it today, will never be again.

Everything you enjoy now will be altered and not for the better, everything.

I have little doubt whether this happened in 2009 or 2016 that the first the President Obama would say is “my predecessor left this country vulnerable and less safe!”

Agreed. Obama will say it was because of Dubya’s aggressive attitude and war mongering that AQ had no choice but to retaliate....and it will resonate with those who were 12 or under in 2001. Those that do not recall 9/11 but remeber the constant harping about Iraq (and Dubya’s unwillingness to defend himself) will grow each year. Now I know how my granndparents felt when I rolled my eyes about the great depression.

I doubt there will be a media system left in place for any President (if one is left alive) to say anything to the American people on.

The Boston to DC corrider in a smoking ruin will silence the media (the only blessing perhaps) and there will be no one to fuss about Bush from there because no one will be able to, either alive to do so or able to broadcast it.

I cheered Cal as I read through this op-ed. Then at the bottom of the page I see his book, Common Ground, joining hands with Bob Beckel.

The same Bob Beckel who is currently trying to get a President elected who will appoint the same types of judges or worse. The same Bob Beckel who has recently been part of an elaborate psy-ops lies and smears campaign against Conservatives. Cal Thomas needs to come out just as forcefully against the obvious liar, Bob Beckel, and point out these lies.
