Links don’t work
They all work for me.
I’m hardly an expert, but his analysis seems damning. Especially the border - which he’s right on. They are clearly rectangles drawn in a graphics program and only crudely put together.
The only questionable thing about Obama’s birth is his parents’ marital status. Even he is not sure when, where, or if they actually got married.
Where is the raised seal? I got a copy of my birth certificate a few years ago. The clerk placed a raise seal on the copy. There was also a bar code and a serial number. These all are used to identify the document as an certified copy.

If one looks at the normal resolution image (first pic in thread), letters with unconnected “islands” like “O” clearly block out the background pattern, which is consistent with a digital forgery. Even jpeg compression would bleed some color, but the above sample is entirely opaque in the “islands”. The sloppy registration flaws in the lithography is also convincing evidence of a forgery.
That doesn't make the data suspect. Now, perhaps there are grounds to think the data is suspect. But a modern computerized birth certificate output doesn't raise any red flags for me.
My eyes aren’t that good, either. But, it seems to me that this issue should be very important to a great many people, and we are not hearing about it in the MSM.
Experts are available who can examine the document. Or, perhaps someone could do some really independent investigation in the islands to settle this question.
Interesting...
Official birth certificates from most states are freshly generated at the time they are requested. If you request a copy of your birth certificate, the current computer system cranks one out, so of course it would have modern graphics.
Thank you very much. Can you fix the links? I looked at the copy and had my doubts, but I lack copier/printer expertise.
Everything about Osama Hussein Obama needs to be looked at under a high-powered microscope. Our country, our security, our future depends on exposing this radical front man for those that want to destroy America.
Not to mention that, if I’m not mistaken, it came from Daily Kos.
On that basis alone, we probably should have assumed it a forgery until proved otherwise.
“What is readily apparent is that the top and bottom horizontal border bars are overlapped by the top and bottom edges of two vertical rectangles.”
I agree. I work in PS and there are a lots of bad areas that could lead one to think it is not a copy of the original but created on a computer.
Anyone else?
The information added to birth certificates at that time of Obama’s birth were typed in. This document is modern looking. I would like to see Obama’s original birth certificate from the early 60s.
Bump for truth. Great job.
Call Ran Rather, he would know.

What does that mean?
A non-story. Many states do not issue certified photocopies of the original certificate, but generate new legally valid documents when a request is filed.
New York, for instance, does this, and evidently Hawaii does, as well.
That's what's done in every state and territory.
Nothing new here ~ just some pale imitations trying to do a Dan Rather deal.
Remember, at some point we had 22 different major documentable claims about the Dan Rather forgeries and I was able to rationally dispose of 21 of them. The only one that passed and couldn't be rejected for objective reasons was "kerning". It was pretty obvious that the photocomposition guy who did the job left "kerning" in the on position when he set up his Microsoft Word commands.
"kerning" didn't happen in the world of typewriters back when "W" was in the Air Force.
Frankly, I doubt the puke is human but none of you guys want to do the hard work to prove that, and so far all your work on certificates like this is demonstrating nothing other than the fact that WP programs are used to set up digital document print formats, which is hardly news.
I wondered about that myself. When I saw the “certification” I thought it looked fake but thought I was reaching.
Good I am not the only one.
Plus everything’s in uppercase except DATES.
Is there someone on FR living in Hawaii who was born in Hawaii the same year as Obama, so they can send a copy of their legitimate birth certificate to show what a real one is supposed to look like?
As was said above, some Honolulu Freeper born around '61 should ask for a copy of his/her birth certificate and see what happens.
“Lower left corner: Rev. 11/01 laser
What does that mean?”
Revised, perhaps? Just seven years ago?
This is not definitive, because it’s likely that Hawaii issues computer-printed birth certificates these days.
But it reminds me of the way Jean Kerri released/but didn’t release his Form 180. He gave it to a couple of trusted friends, and they released only those parts that were favorable but suppressed the nasty details. He never did actually release his Form 180 in the sense of giving permission for investigators to get it directly from the archives.
The same problem here. IF OBAMA HAS A LEGITIMATE BIRTH CERTIFICATE, why won’t he give permission for legitimate investigators to go directly to the State of Hawaii and ask them for a copy, instead of releasing a digital picture of it on a biased and generally unreliable web site?
Release the Form 180. Release the birth certificate.
They did; we had another big thread on this a few days ago and a number of freepers showed their BCs.
Try to find the thread.
The plot thickens......
I doubt that Obama would allow his birth certificate to be in public circulation, especially if it was so questionable.
If he's as tricky as people are making him out to be, how could he slip up?
Now THAT is a very interesting comment. Back in those days, people called a spade a spade and that sort of information was commonly included in public documents. A modern, computer-generated birth certificate may be perfectly legitimate, but the format of the output would likely NOT include such information. We now live in a PC world.
If that's the case, I can certainly see why Obama would rather release this version of his certificate rather than something closer to the original.
I found it odd that his fathers race was listed as AFRICAN? His mother’s race is listed as CAUCASIAN. Is African something a modern person chose rather than the currently unPC negro?
An earlier thread noted that the State of Hawaii will alter a birth certificate whenever ordered to do so by a court, and will hide the original.
So all Obama would have to do to change it—for instance, to change the name on it, or even the date of birth—would be to get a court order. Or possibly the original used the term “negro,” which was commonly used at the time, but that was then changed to “African.”
After these changes are made, and there could have been several over the years, you get a computer printout of the new information, and the original certificate—if it still exists at all—is locked away somewhere and unavailable. Probably the original paper certificates have been photocopied or microfilmed or digitized into a computer, and then destroyed.
He is saying it is not a official document that had the pertinent Obama info added, then printed. Read his analysis carefully.

Not so. The footprints that get pressed into the birth certificates in the hospital are for identification purposes.
Wherever Obama was born, if in the US anyway, the hospital has a copy of his birth certificate stating the attending physician and address of the mother/parents.
You have to read what he said. he is not saying that it is supposed to be a copy of the original BC. He is saying this document is NOT a genuine, official print out of a computer generated Certificate of Birth. It is one created by a graphics system incompatible with an official computer generated document.
It’s even more interesting that he dissected this thing so completely as a fraud.
Barak:
1024x1000=1,024,000
compressed size: 113118
ratio: 9.05
yours:
1021x851=868,871 pixels
compressed size: 296015
ratio: 2.94
Also, your image has large white areas which are almost infinitely compressable, so the compression ratio of the "interesting" sections is probably closer to 2.7.
Additionally, yours is a black&white image, so no color information has to be saved. Barak's is full color, so three times the data has to be saved.
Go back and compres yours to about 90,000 bytes and then compare the images. That still won't handle the color difference, but it will start showing what you lose in compression.
Another HUGE blunder. In 1961 “African” was not a “race”. His father would have been listed as “black”, possibly “Negro” and maybe even “colored”. The person who reproduces them at request DOES NOT change any data for political correctness as that would be falsifying official government documents.
Our grandson was born in HI. The background paper is the same except sharper and clearer on my grandson’s. The border is much darker on my grandson’s birth certificate. The seal looks somewhat smaller on my grandsons but both are black instead of in color. No we are not going to publish his birth certificate.
That is a great site.
>>>As for the first part, the acronym, “OHSM,” stands for “Office of Health Statistics Management,” which is not the responsible office within the Department of Health for issuing a certificate of birth.
