Where is the raised seal? I got a copy of my birth certificate a few years ago. The clerk placed a raise seal on the copy. There was also a bar code and a serial number. These all are used to identify the document as an certified copy.

Are you questioning the integrity of Lucy Ramirez?

My birth certificate, like the author’s, was issued in New York County (Manhattan). Mine, however, was issued in 1950. It was filled in by hand and signed by the attending physician. My copy is a microfiche negative, with a raised seal.
