The November election is, and remains, Barack Obamas to lose. Usually, candidates whose victories are entirely in their own hands make it through. It is clear Obamas path to victory is through the teleprompter. Let him give a big speech and he drives it like Tiger Woods hitting a fairway, as he did Sunday with his stunning sermon about the importance of fathers. But let him sit for an interview with a well-prepared reporter who isnt interested in shilling for him and Obama makes mistake after mistake. This is what happened the other day with ABCs Jake Tapper, who got Obama to talk about how we need to treat terrorism as a law-enforcement matter which is exactly what he should not be saying if he wants to solidify those less-liberal Democratic votes in the states where he was shellacked by Hillary Clinton and how he opposes all forms of school choice which works against his vague message that he is a vague agent of vague change.
I suspect this is why John McCain is so eager to get Obama into those town-hall meetings Obama seems intent on avoiding. McCain has been doing them for 25 years and is very good at them; its a mark of how good he is at them that he doesnt make career-threatening gaffes during them. McCain wants Obama off that teleprompter, which is sound strategy. But he cant make Obama go anywhere Obama doesnt want to. The media pose a different challenge for Obama.
...he's like a junkie in withdrawal.
The November election is, and remains, Barack Obamas to lose.

I don’t quite agree — I think it is McCain’s to lose. McCain can easily beat Obama if he goes for the throat. He must attack him personally (which is what I am worried about) because Obama will attack him. He must also attack on the ISSUES as well.
But he cannot let the REAL IMAGE of Obama get away, because the rotten MSM will bury it with as much dirt as they can shovel.....and most important, McCain must stay ON THE OFFENSE!! If he slides to the defense, he could easily lose and there is no need if he ATTACKS!!!
He should have a chair set up for Barak with a stuffed chicken on it when he does not show up.
I mean, let's face it. He DOES believe that terror is a law enforcement matter. Why use double talk? He figures he can get elected by pretty much delivering the same dribble.
I figured he and his handlers are just posturing to win and declare a mandate.
1) debating Obama
2) choosing a good VP
Just caught a clip of Obama in an airplane trying to explain it would take 10 years before offshore oil could be in the supply line; excuse me Senator Obama, let’s ask the Oil Companies, your no expert in this field either, and I’d bet it’s closer to 6 months.
when he's off the prompter, he's lucky he doesn't fall into eubonics...
.... he's dumber than a Texas Post Turtle.
I like it!
Agreed. Obama is terrible off script and would lose these, and beyond merely looking like the bozo that he is, it would negate the "old man" attacks on McCain.
After all, if McCain looks better on his feet than Hopey Changey, it blunts the "old senile man" style of attacks.
He stutters, and has a hard time collecting his thoughts.
This is a speech giver, not an extemporaneous speaker.....
Get him into open water, and see if he can really swim.......
Why in tarnation do you even think rino, liberal coddling McCain would go for the thoat? He has said as much as he wouldn't. Eventhough I agree Mc Cain should attack and destroy this liberal loser, he won't. McCain will have more bad things to say about his own party and republicans than he will about Obama. That's why I can't stand McCain, and will NOT be voting for him in Nov. He is as much as a loser as Obama!
“McCain wants Obama off that teleprompter, which is sound strategy. But he cant make Obama go anywhere Obama doesnt want to. The media pose a different challenge for Obama.”
This begs a question:
Will Obama even agree to “conventional” debates with McCain, so long as he remains ahead (or at least tied) in the polls?
- John
It's like electing a cartoon character for President.
“When Obama Is Off the Teleprompter...”
I.e., saying what he thinks and to the extent to which he can think...

“Why in tarnation do you even think rino, liberal coddling McCain would go for the thoat?”
He and Huckabee sure went after Romney...
But then again, as you point out, Romney is a fellow Republican. :)
The only way I see McCain really lighting into Obama is if the hatred McCain had for Romney that was so visible in the debates somehow develops for Obama, as well.
As scary as it sounds, we may need for him to become a little unhinged.... (yikes!)
He can’t think on his feet.
A cooked goose.
When Obama Is Off the Teleprompter -
He doesn’t have a coherent thought .....
OK. Allright. I haven’t had much sleep. I know your fired up. OK. I can’t hear mahself. OK. It’ll cost fifty three no. I know. OK.
Hussein is an empty suit and does not have a chance.
TIGER WOODS DOES NOT HIT FAIRWAYS. TIGER WOODS HAS MADE AN ART FORM OUT OF WINNING WITHOUT HITTING FAIRWAYS. WOOODS IS ALSO THE BEST PUTTER IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME.
JOHN PODHERTZ IS AN IDIOT.
The same crap was said about Clinton when Doltheaded Moderate Dole was foist upon us.
I surely do not want Obama to ever be President, but I sure as shinola refuse anymore to stand in line for the GOP/RNC just to vote for the lesser of two evils. I'm done with that B.S.! Give me a conservative I can vote for, or go take a hike GOP!
It will cost what we spend on it.
Wouldn’t it be a good campaign ad to taunt Obama to get off the teleprompter and to attend town hall debates with McCain? Call him scared, etc.

LOL
New tag line
Why doesn’t McCain debate Obama’s teleprompter.
That is a Saturday Night Live skit we will not be seeing.
All I hear is Another failed Bush policy after every sentence. The moonbats lap it up until it sticks. No surprise.
Are you kidding me? He has to fake ebonics. “Dreams of my Father” was all about his struggle to learn how to be “black.”
Think “Brother from another planet.”
McCain will have more bad things to say about his own party and republicans than he will about Obama.
:::::::
I hope you are wrong, but only time will tell. Is McCain more concerned about his country, or his own ego and empowerment? Time will tell. If he gives this election to Obamination, then we will certainly know the answer and we will be in for a very rough period in our history.
” The alternative is always “unthinkable,” but guess what, we’ve survived!
The same crap was said about Clinton when Doltheaded Moderate Dole was foist upon us. “
And you would view the Clinton legacy of judicial appointments and bureaucratic plants in the State Dept., CIA, and FBI as unimportant? I guess that Ruth Bader-Ginsberg’s appointment to the same Supreme Court that only yesterday conferred habeas corpus on terrorist prisoners of war (who we have every right under the Geneva Convention to shoot as spies) is really no worse than whatever Bob Dole would have done. I suppose the saga of terrorist attacks against this country in the wake of Clinton’s impotent response to the first WTC attack, the African Embassy bombings, the Khobar Towers bombing, and Mogadishu are not really much more catastrophically nonresponsive than whatever dull ol’ Bob would have done. What the hell. It’s only our defense, our sovereignty, and the lives of thousands of our fellow citizens. It can hang fire for the sake of our petulance. “We’re having a good pout, and no we will NOT do the best we can.”
The truth you don’t want to hear, and I’d rather not have to say, is that you and I have done an inadequate job of convincing our fellow Republicans, and our fellow Americans, of the essential and indisputable correctness of fundamental Conservative positions. WE MUST DO BETTER. In the meantime, we have to grow up and work for the best option that is open to us. Make no mistake, I am BITTERLY opposed to McCain on immigration, Global Warming rubbish, and reluctance to drill for American oil, among other things. But the choice we are faced with is “Do you want your garage burned down, or do you want your whole house burned to the ground, your family slaughtered, the ground poisoned with salt, and overrun with cockroaches, rats, and rattlesnakes?” The damage the Democrats can do in 4 years will take decades to undo. I can rebuild the garage.
Much as I don't like Obama, this "Manchurian Candidate" tripe Rush is pushing is silly. Obama's a politically ambitious guy who has a definite talent for making a cliche sound profound, and he's trying to ride it as far as he can. I'm sure there are many that are hoping that getting on board will further their aims, but that doesn't point to a "Theory of Oz."
Who do YOU think is the man behind the curtain? Soros? Gore? (nah ---too stupid) Harry Reid? How about fleshing this out a bit?
I'm not syaing that it is necessrily one or another person or persons. More like a confederation of the far left anti-American interests from anti-war, to rabid environmentalists, to his vartious socialist/marxist organizations, the militant blacks, to the gay and lesbians, etc., etc. who are coming together behind one they consider to be their own and who is very polished in appearance...and they intend to keep him that way.
There is also no doubt that our foreign enemies are salivating at the prospect, though what if any influence they exert right now is unknown and dubious...but make no mistake, they want him in.
He-he.... Monday, Tiger won the US Open by driving long down the fairway on the 18th and the 7th.
I sense you don’t like Tiger....
We need to remind people that that is just what Clinton said when he refused drilling in Anwar = 10 years ago.
Wouldn't it be nice if we had drilled then?
Point is, obamama, it will NEVER be in the supply line if we never drill -
BTW, he seemed a bit angry in that little speech...?
The corrupt and powerful Daly Chicago Machine and the Black Liberationists - for two players.,..and they are behind him, they are above him. That's where puppet masters control their little polished, programmed puppet from -
fleshy enough?
.,..and they are NOT behind him, they are above him
If my eyes and ears didn't deceive me, I believe that McCain made his deceptively misreported, but nevertheless unfortunate, "100 years" comment during a "town hall". Anyone can make a mistake in the high stakes game of Presidential poker. Barack made two yesterday (one domestic, the other on foreign policy/terrorism) that could be his undoing if properly exploited.
i guess im a proud non-McCain voting redneck peckerwood
**When Obama Is Off the Teleprompter...**
He’s like one of the kids that Bill Cosby wrote and talked about. No English! LOL!
**He stutters, and has a hard time collecting his thoughts.**
How many other people have noticed this? Could hardly believe it the first time I heard him a.a.a.a.aaaaaa
