You can take your default stand with NARAL. And you can stick it where the sun don't shine.
It isn't me standing with those who empower the abortionists.
Do you agree with Senator McCain's votes to give Planned Parenthood hundreds of millions of the taxpayer's dollars?

“Frank is now running around justifying rape and incest exceptions. Phooey.”
So...you would use force to require a rape victim to carry her attackers’ seed? You see that as a good thing?

A: I believe that we need to fund this. This is a tough issue for those of us in the pro-life community. I would remind you that these stem cells are either going to be discarded or perpetually frozen. We need to do what we can to relieve human suffering. Its a tough issue. I support federal funding. The moral equivalent of advocating the killing of Jews "because they are going to be killed anyway." And "HEY! It will further scientific research and maybe help people!"
Such compassion...

Do you agree with Senator McCain's votes to give Planned Parenthood hundreds of millions of the taxpayer's dollars? No, I agree with McCain's 115 of 119 pro-life votes that have petrified NARAL and Emily's List. And I also know that since Jesus Christ isn't on the ballot this year, I'll vote for a candidate who would save thousands of unborn lives, as opposed to one who would sanction the killing of every unborn life.

McCain won’t save a single baby. You’re deluding yourself. Or helping deceive the naive. I don’t know you well enough to guess which is the case.

How many more babies should be sacrificed on the altar of perfection? Exactly. The fact that McCain has a voting record that terrifies pro-choicers isn't good enough for the sinless FReepers. Maybe when a presidential candidate casts 119 of 119 (not a paltry 115 of 119) pro-life votes, they'll deign to vote for him.

And McCain has managed to fool Obama, too.
"I think John McCain is going to have trouble making the case, when on almost every single issue that's important to women, he's been on the wrong side," Obama said. "You know, he is in favor of judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade."
To all but the "smart" people, there would seem to be a rather marked distinction between the candidates.
. . .Obama has received the endorsement of several pro-choice groups, including NARAL Pro-Choice America and Emily's List, and in coming days likely will receive an endorsement from Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider. National Right to Life has endorsed McCain.
Obama has pledged to nominate only judges who support legal concepts at the heart of Roe and also has said he "will not yield" on such a "fundamental" issue as abortion. He has said the "first thing" he would do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act, a proposed law that would codify abortion-on-demand as the law of the land and also overturn every pro-life law -- such as mandatory waiting periods, parental notifications and partial-birth abortion bans -- on the federal and state level.

. . .
an examination [of McCain's voting record] reveals a striking opposition to abortion in most of the major fights such as partial-birth abortion down to the smallest of skirmishes, even when he was in a distinct minority. Those votes include joining just 20 other senators in voting to delete family-planning grants from a spending bill in 1988 and joining 18 others in voting against spending Medicaid funds on abortions in cases of rape and incest. In the 1990s, he voted against the bill creating federal penalties for blocking access to abortion clinics and voted against allowing federal-government health insurance plans to cover abortions.
Still not good enough for the "smart" people.

McCain offers a very stark contrast to Obama on abortion.
It's one of the two reasons I'll be voting for him in November.

No more than you believe in punishing a woman for having been raped, or worse raped by her family member.

McCain also voted for Ginsberg and Byer. He’s more interested in having the justices “balanced.”

Do you agree with Senator McCain's votes to give Planned Parenthood hundreds of millions of the taxpayer's dollars? What a bunch of ingrates those Planned Parenthooders are. They should be championing McCain's candidacy, but they seem to regard him as evil incarnate.
[Planned Parenthood website] THE TRUTH ABOUT JOHN MCCAIN
For the past 25 years, John McCain has consistently voted against women's health. From opposing funding for family planning programs to voting against requiring insurance coverage of birth control, McCain has taken extreme positions. He has voted against women's health and has not supported legislation that would help reduce the rate of unintended pregnancies and the need for abortion. This has earned him a zero rating the lowest rating we give in the U.S. Senate.
"Sen. McCain believes government has the right to interfere with the most personal and often the most difficult decisions affecting a woman's health. Most Americans believe just the opposite and, as more voters realize Sen. McCain's ardent anti-choice position, this will be an issue for him in the general election." Cecile Richards, president, Planned Parenthood Action Fund

Just as soon as you explain why a woman that has been raped deserves the further emotional and physical torture of carrying and delivering her attackers’ offspring.

Planned Parenthood propaganda, devised to energize their pro-abort base, proves nothing, and doesn’t change McCain’s history.

She doesn't. But her right to avoid emotional and physical "torture" does not override that innocent unborn child's right to life.
There. Answered your question. Now you answer mine.

And anyone who can argue that a baby born alive after surviving an abortion should be left to die is not worthy of a single vote. This needs to be brought up more often. Even some of the most staunch pro-"choicers" cannot defend this without embarrassing themselves.
