Jeez guys. You couldn't wait until the body was cold?

Tim Russert has been dead a week but that hasn't stopped the nakedly ambitous potato heads at MSNBC from lusting after his Meet The Press job.

Word is out and reported by Page Six at the New York Post that both hysterically hyper Chris Matthews and that bumbling bufoon Keith Olbermann are both jockeying for position in the MTP sweepstakes:

TIM Russert's body wasn't even cold in the ground before MSNBC anchors Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann started jockeying for his job, sources claim. .....

The funny part is MTP is a dull, boring, unimportant job. Russert made it important solely due to his own hard work, talent, and personality.
Anyone seeking to follow Russert at MTP has the IQ of a hamster. That’s like seeking to follow John Wooden at UCLA, or Vince Lombardi at Green Bay.

I doubt they even waited until Tim's body was out of the newsroom.

Russert was the master of the gotcha game. He had his favorites on the left who got by unscathed, but those on the right were skewered.

This looks like a great chance for Fox, ABC or even (gasp) CBS to boost their ratings. Meet the Press got a bump in the ratings when ABC switched to "This Week without David Brinkley" quite a few years ago.

As I’ve stated elsewhere....this is simply the nature of the TV news business. If Hannity died an untimely death tonight, there would be plenty of conservative commentators jockeying for his TV and radio slots. I’d like to think they’d be a little more discreet and classy about it, but believe me...there would be a lot of people who saw his untimely demise as an *opportunity* to be exploited, and they would be racing to replace him simply to avoid somebody else claiming first dibs...

What does one expect from the likes of the egoist Leftist wannabe loved culture that will lie, back stab, and cheat for power, fame, and notoriety under the guise of the lie “making a difference”.

Great idea! I can see 1000 post FR threads after old Keith gets done with his "questions". Could be fun.

Now, just what does Quel ennui mean?

Give it to Olbermann and watch ratings go to zero. Who wants to wake up Sunday morning to his anger?

I say cage match. Chwissy and Keith get it on to decide who get Timmy’s seat. As far rules go, biting and open handed spanks would not only be legal but encouraged.

Then just give the job to Tony Snow and watch the "winner's" head explode.

Olbermann threw one of his patented fits last night over this article. He spent his whole “Worse, Worser, Worst” segment attacking Rupert Murdoch. SS-Olbermann is apparently still bitter at being fired by FOX. The idea that this creep did NOT start demanding Russert’s job before the body cooled off is laughable. His combination of ego and mental illness rules out any modesty on his part.

In fact, Olberboy’s spastic rants are so entertaining I actually watch parts of his show to catch his tantrums. I don’t watch any of his guests, but once you overcome the gag reflex, Olbie’s solo behavior is as entertaining as a trip to the zoo monkey house.

Personally, I think it should be Al Franken or Rosie O’Donnell. Olbermann is too extreme.

Keith Olberman lends credible evidence to those who believe there are not enough mental institutions for deranged liberal talking heads in the United States.

I vote for Dan Rather. Has a lot of network experience, had a good interview with Sadaam, seems be between jobs and appears willing to work.

LOL, not only that he is over the hill and they will be after someone who will be around for a long time.

Chris Wallace would fit the bill if they come up with the right amount for him to jump ship and his dad would jump for joy that he got back to his liberal roots.

Some time ago, every version to the Chris Matthews & Murtha Haditha BS rift video was removed from You Tube. It was removed at the request of MSNBC. You can’t see the role Chris Matthews played, which was disgraceful, although shadowed by Murtha’s disgrace.
