The director of volunteers for the Democratic National Convention in Denver has resigned, saying she wasn’t “empowered” to do her job.

Sondra Williams ...declined to elaborate on her reasons, saying she doesn’t want to criticize the host committee.

The committee is coping with fundraising problems. It reported this week it is $11.6 short its $40.6 million goal.

I don’t get it..I thought the Dumocrats raised more money than the Republicans with a ratio of 3 to 1.

Sounds like she didn’t seek to “hit the ground running”, “bring her A game” and use “best practices” to “win in the politics space” to “think outside the box” about the “new paradigm shift” for a “win-win situation” and “synergy” and “sustainability” for “seamless integration” snd couldn’t “polish a turd”, “faster, cheaper and better.”

Now, she’s “dropped the ball” and she’ll be “spending more time with her family.”

She might have had a brief moment of clarity and figured out the kind of people she would be serving and have working for her and quit. It must be next to impossible to figure out how to herd and deal with fruits and weirdos.

Roughly 200 of the delegates attending the convention are members of the National Education Association, said Colorado NEA representative Sondra Williams.

The shortage of money plaguing local efforts to finance the Democratic National Convention played a role in the resignation of the top official in charge of volunteers — and concerns are growing that Barack Obama won't be able to help.

Shoot, if they are only $11.60 short of their $40,600,000, can’t someone just kick in a little contribution? What’s that, a couple of Starbucks?

Notice in the second article above (Denver Post) how Obama dances around ponying up for what is after all HIS show.

He's a cheap-ass self-serving ego-centric USER of people.

The sooner people realize they've been USED by this Chicago dirtbag, the sooner they can vote for their OWN interests.

Conservatives (Republicans, the Right) want you to keep more of your money, and to drill for your OWN oil so you don't get screwed by maddrassah-funding super-rich.

It's all one message. Obama is the Marxist-Muslim enemy. Don't buy another gold doorknob for the Obama mansion.

I wonder how long he can pull off his game of chicken ?

“The Obama campaign has declined repeated requests for comment on whether it would help raise money, referring questions to the hosts.”

I liked Larry Sabato’s comment — Obama’s “small donor” talk is meaningless, really a lie, but he has to perpetuate the lie or else he might lose support.

When teachers say it's not about the money, it's the money.  Every election we are asked to increase teacher salaries and benefits, as they ask for more money for the children.

So far, it keeps working for them and will continue until voters realize we've been duped.  (Not likely in Denver any time soon.)

The Dems do pay a lot more staff than Republicans do, which is one reason they go through their funds so quickly.

Working with a pool of typical Democrat volunteers. That’s a swim in a cesspool that no one with any sense would want to take.
