Although Obama also has deplored 527 organizations, the most prominent group is the left-wing MoveOn.org (bankrolled primarily by billionaire financier George Soros). It maintains steady fire against McCain.
"DRILL NOW!"
Members of Congress were swamped by telephone calls and e-mail messages Thursday demanding, "Drill now!" in response to a Republican call for increased American oil production to fight runaway gasoline prices.
Lawmakers got little response to previous proposals intended to lower the cost of oil: alternative energy sources, a federal gasoline tax holiday, an excess profits tax on U.S. oil producers and pressure on foreign oil producers. In contrast, the demand to "drill now" (first urged this year by former House Speaker Newt Gingrich) has taken hold.
A footnote: A challenge to his House colleagues by Republican Rep. Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia to sign a letter pledging that "I will vote to increase U.S. oil production to lower gas prices for Americans" began Thursday morning with 72 signatures and by mid-afternoon had reached 152. Only one was a Democrat: Neal Abercrombie of Hawaii, which has especially high gasoline prices. Signatures also were mounting on two petitions to force Democratic-controlled committees to send to the House floor two mandatory oil-drilling bills.
OBAMA'S LOBBYISTS
As he gives up public funding for his campaign, Sen. Barack Obama is reaching out to new sources, including Washington insiders whose influence he has vowed to end.
Obama is now using lists of contributors to Democratic congressional chairmen, primarily lobbyists of both parties. One recipient of a letter signed by Obama is a Republican lobbyist who has contributed to senior Democratic Reps. John Dingell of Michigan and Charlie Rangel of New York, not out of ideological affinity but to keep their doors open.
"Together, we change the way business is done in Washington," said the Obama letter. "We can end the undue influence of special interests."
OUSTED VETTER
Democratic power broker James Johnson did not abruptly resign from vetting Democratic vice presidential prospects but was forced out by Sen. Barack Obama's campaign.
The multimillionaire Johnson was targeted by the McCain campaign for an allegedly sweetheart loan from an endangered mortgage banker for continuing as a paid consultant for the government-backed Federal National Mortgage Association, which he previously headed.
A footnote: The McCain campaign immediately turned its fire against another Obama vetter, former Deputy Attorney General Eric Holder, because of his role in then-President Bill Clinton's pardon of his fugitive political contributor Marc Rich. So far, however, the news media have shown no interest.
CRUMBLING CRIST
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist did not help his ambition to be John McCain's vice presidential running mate when he delivered a Flag Day speech to a conservative audience in Orange County, Calif., and praised California's Republican Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger.
"Your governor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, is a doing a great job. I love him," Crist declared. That generated groans from faithful Republicans unhappy over their governor's turn to the left.
Crist also blundered during his nine-minute talk by saying that Ronald Reagan "came from right here in Orange County, Calif." Actually, Reagan never lived in Orange County and was a resident of Pacific Palisades in Los Angeles County when elected governor in 1966.
This is a pretty sharp piece from Bob. His point about nailing Hussein for his brazen hypocrisy vis a vis the lobbyists is excellent. One thing Bob overlooked as a way to hit Obama is to simply remind people that he is a homosexual crackhead.
Get out!... you mean Kingfish is on the downlow?..
PC punches, foggy family statements, two way glass for her of course.
all McCain has to do is start putting Barry’s picture with Barry’s words and deeds....
Folks I don't trust this guy.
There is something about Obama that makes my skin crawl and the tingle up my leg is not from the excitement of possibly having this mistake for our president.
Could it be he is nothing more than a two faced front for big radical money?
I hope there is still time for some of his airhead supporters to slow down and think about the danger their fixing to put on Americas future.
It's an election year for the House. Some Democrat-Socialists might have a hard time backing Hussein on the no drilling plank.
yitbos
So I hear...
Of course, being a homosexual crackhead is sure to boost Obama's favorability rating among Democrats.
When do people in the Northeast have to first fill their home heating oil tanks? Is that before the election hopefully?
Yes. The fix is less complex at this point ace...
Those idiots aren't going to figure anything out until it's too late and he's running them under his marxist wheels. They're too busy genuflecting to their new god to see reality, and the MSM Obeymao-brainwashing-apparatus is chugging along, full speed ahead.

Of course, McCain could name MYTH ROMNEYas his running mate and then we would have 2 RINOs running instead of just one.
Then I could stay home and go to be early on election night because I could care less which of these liars and thieves win.
"Obama is now using lists of contributors to Democratic congressional chairmen, primarily lobbyists of both parties."
The politics of no change. No matter the mantra of the MissIah.
yitbos
Novack= RACIST!!!!!!!
I see GW doing some stuff during the Fourth of July Congressional break. He will have some big audience opportunities.
yitbos
problem is that 50% of america thinks "left brain", it's not their fault , they can't help it, they were born that way
they will pull the lever for "CHANGE" even if it flushes them down a toilet
People like you are going to get us all killed.Just keep dividing us all because of religion. Smart move.
I suppose in the next civil war you will shoot Mormons along with liberals.I hope you know,Mormons are mostly
conservative.Harry Reid is an anomaly, and most Mormons would tell you that.I would take Mitt Romney with what ever flaws he has over McCain.
And take some good advice, stop making fun of other peoples religion. We are way better off united.
"I mean really, really love him...in a public restroom on the side of I-95 sort of way..."
Yes, the first heating oil will be needed in October.
I suppose there were better things to do.
Then of course, there is Mitt's "the free market, expert business man, conservative" that sold the citizens down the socialist river with HIS heath care scheme.

Thanks Mitt!
Mitt was defaulted elected once in his life, and he screwed that up. He couldn't get reelected. I notice since he's wiped his feet on Massachusetts, he hasn't been back much. But then, his home state is Utah, or is it Michigan? Or Massachusetts, or now California?
There are a couple of words in your statement that counter one another, "airhead supporters" and "think".
On a positive note, two of my relatives who had planned on voting for Obama have become disillusioned with him. One was influenced by Obama’s opposition to manned exploration of outer space. Another simply does not trust Obama anymore and thinks he is a lightweight. On a negative note, I saw McCain’s first TV commercial and it was awful.
“all McCain has to do is start putting Barrys picture with Barrys words and deeds....”
And all the D 527s need to do is give some play to the fact that the McCain campaign, as his campaigns have been in the past, is bankrolled by KLA Mohammedan terrorist money. His pretty little blond wife was just over there playing bag woman for him.
Democrats (most of them) don’t know it yet, but they have lost the drill now battle. Once they realize it’s over, they’ll turn on a dime and start saying that domestic drilling was their idea all along and that it was Republicans and Bush who’ve been trying to stop it all these years.
Sounds good to me.
Well, Looks like BamBam has one safe vote.
Welcome to the "We're Screwed '08" coalition.
Do you have Obama’s militaRY military record handy for us. And how many Purple Hearts did he con out of the government so he could bug out on the United States, and join the enemy?
And, as to wiping one’s feet on Massachusetts — that isn’t all that should be done to a state that would send the disgusting likes of a TraitorKerry and Killer Kennedy to the Senate.
If high energy prices keep Obama from becoming POTUS and result in most of the lawmaker RATS losing their jobs in Nov., I will keep paying!!
This Obama is one Arrogant fella ,Saw his new Logo this morning on FOX,above the Eagle it says in Latin YES WE CAN .
I think whenever Obambi proclaims we cant Drill our way out of the Oil problems we should Shout YES WE CAN ! When he Proclaims we cant win Militarily in Iraq We should Shout YES WE CAN !
I would like to be so bold as to let Mr Obambi know that even though he is an Arrogant Muslim, Liar and fraud, and His arrogance will not allow him to think that Americans will reject him ,I shout YES WE CAN!!!!!
I've said before, but McCain is going to blow out Obama. I don't think Obama is going to win even Massachusetts.
About a third of the state is fairly conservative. Election turnouts are quite low, further even moderate/liberal Republicans were disappointed in life long liberal, from liberal parents, Mitt Romney. In other words, he went soft(er) and sold a bill of goods. Mitt gave the impression that he would be a stealth conservative, slowly and craftily doing what he could. He didn't.
Observing Mitt's actions as opposed to words, there are a couple of equally explainable causes for Mitt Kerry's flip flopping. Naked ambition. Or, ideological rootlessness. Or, terminal and crippling desire to be liked. Or any combination.
For Mitt, it's the VP, or he's done. Although, he might be able to, maybe, get Ted's Senate seat. He has left the state GOP destroyed, so he'll really have to pull out the checkbook, I can't imagine but a handful being ‘excited’ about our plastic ex-Govenour. Still, that's how he got to be Governor. Money and the Democrats screwing up. That seems to be about the favorite tactic for clueless, elite, effete Republicans.
He will change the way business is done in Washington all right. It will be run by Marxist and Muslims.
Perfect. I'm in!
I didn't change that subject -- I ignored it. Or can't you read?
Speaking of bugging out of the US, Mitt's grand-pappy did.
There's just one thing wrong with that statement -- I didn't say anything about anyone bugging "out of the United States."
Additionally, replying to your subject change -- I couldn't possibly care less about what Mitt's grand-pappy did or didn't do -- he doesn't happen to be participating in the politics under discussion.
I've said before, but McCain is going to blow out Obama. I don't think Obama is going to win even Massachusetts.
Devoutly to be hoped for.

That all may be true, but Romney is seither a murderer now a traitor like the two distinguished Senators Massachusettes keeep sending again and again to stink up Washington -- that's all I'm saying. By the way - I am no fan of either McCain or Romney -- but God save us from Obama -- we sure don't need that treasonous slimeball in the White House -- or anywhere else, for that matter.
Smart guy, you get your news from Dave Horsey!Brilliant.Mitt wasn’t my first choice, but McCain was my last choice. You sound just like a liberal with the” Didn’t serve in the military”....Dick Cheney a bad guy then?
Sure would like to see a Tompson/Hunter or Hunter/Thompson ticket.
Anyways,
There are some trend lines in Massachusetts. Ted is dying, like Mao and Hitler. I think Joe Kennedy, are real bucktooth Kennedy will run, but it will be interested to see if that inbred family of alcohol damaged genes still has the clout.
Kerry isn't as popular. The state population is declining as young people escape. Further the average age is increasing, so many of Ted's supporter are following him. So, Mass is looking at increasing taxes, even more. Public debt in increasing. You could even say compared to the Lowells, Coolidge, even Jack Kennedy, the quality of politicians are decreasing. Most young people I talk to feel the pubic schools/colleges/town and services are scams and jokes.(This in a very ignorant and cynical way, but never the less, it's a start) This is good.
The country seems to be sorting itself out as the conservative south and west, with growing population, industry and wealth, and the decreasing North East and Mid West. Good.
I'll leave it as an expression of Romney family patriotic values. Their choices, not mine.
Mitt's been, sort of, elected once. Dick Cheney, what 10 times and once as Sec of Defense? I'm taking a flyer, but I bet there are, like most American families, members of the Cheney’s that have servered. Something no Romney could, or will for at least the next twenty years. I suppose they need the money, or are too busy or something.
Mitt should of served, not to be a politician, but for himself personally. It would of been good for him, and those like him. Somewhat prissy, a bit effete. Too much of a paper chaser, finacialist, with political aspirations and all their warping effects on reality perceptions.
Don't rightly know -- but that sounds like the beginning of one. Keep going.
That's like how much of nothing does one have.
Could be -- and it looks like you are about to demonstrate to us exactly that. Keep going.

Judging from the past few decades up to and including now, doesn't appear to me that much has changed in the Kennedy anointing business.

Pardon my skepticism if I don't see much light at the end of the very dark tunnel.
The country seems to be sorting itself out as the conservative south and west, with growing population, industry and wealth, and the decreasing North East and Mid West. Good.
Keep your fingers crossed and hope for the best.
Nobody wants to help McCain.
McCain doesn't even want to help McCain.
For heaven's sake, the man couldn't generate any political excitement with a match in a dynamite factory.
The 85% Dem legislature added the mandate.
Romney's proposal was to have health care companies provide low-cost catastrophic health insurance.
That way, the state (taxpayers) would not be forced to pay out the wazoo every time someone - even the wealthy -- got cancer or got into a tragic expensive accident.
Pragmatically speaking, Romney knows that no state in America will ever let people die or remain sick for lack of money. Currently, ALL get medical care now, even if uninsured.
Romney simply was trying to find a way to make PRIVATE sector pay instead of taxpayers.
And yet, people on FR and elsewhere continue to hate the man. It just doesn't make sense.
When has there ever been life in the Mass. GOP in the past 40 years.
Mitt couldn't destroy something that wasn't even viable in the first place.
That graphic is what they believe in and comes from a Mormon website.
I'm hardly poking fun at the Kolobites, MYTH ROMNEY is a liberal, and a bigger liar than Hussein, and I will never vote for him, too much self respect.
Mitt, and anyone over the age of three, knew the Democrat Legislature would put its own mark on Mitt's socialist kludge. And Mitt knew it too. He was just expecting that he'd be in the White House before the crap hit the fan.
So, what was he? An idiot? No. How about a fake conservative, as if he was a liberal/moderate from a liberal family, or he was just an opportunist with out much to run on and need a marketing gimmick to sell his brand to the public at large?(especially if he was gone when the check came in)
I say both.
The scheme has really worked well for Mitt. It cost him little, to the ignorant and naive he excuses everything to the Democrats, who shockingly are behaving like Democrats, and goody two shoes Mitt gets At-a-boyt credit for the yummy candy land dream state that only would of occurred if only, gee shucks, he'd been around to keep things pure and sparkly.
Is being a bigot a BAD THING?...
Like being "proud/happy" you are white and not black...
Or being christian and not Mormon?..
Or being republican and not democrat?..
Or being intelligent and not stupid?..
Or being a man and not a woman?..
Or vice versa..
Ahhh, but remember, he's a Mormon.
