"As soon as a writer expresses an opinion against Islamism, immediately someone on the left leaps to his feet and claims that because the majority of Muslims are dark-skinned, he who criticises it is racist," he said in an interview in Corriere della Sera.
"This is logically absurd and morally unacceptable. Martin is not a racist. And I myself despise Islamism, because it wants to create a society that I detest, based on religious belief, on a text, on lack of freedom for women, intolerance towards homosexuality and so on - we know it well."

What a schmuck this guy is! Their views on homosexuality? How about their reluctance to allow non-Muslims to continue breathing?

[snip] The United States and the West cannot win the war against radical Islam merely with the most sophisticated military strategies. Winning requires understanding the role of shari'a and the Muslim Brotherhood in developing a global ideological and political movement supported by a parallel "Islamic" financial system to exploit and undermine Western economies and markets. This movement is the foundation and the major funding source for the political, economic, and military initiatives of the global Islamic movement.1
[snip] Shari'a finance is a new weapon in the arsenal of what might be termed fifth-generation warfare (5GW).2 The perpetrators include both states and organizations, advancing a global totalitarian ideology disguised as a religion. The end goal is to impose that ideology worldwide, making the Islamic "nation," or ummah, supreme.3
[snip] Rising oil prices and the West's dependency on Middle East oil, combined with willful blindness and political correctness, provide a surge of petrodollars, making financial and economic jihad so much easier to carry out. Moreover, according to shari'a, Muslims hold all property in trust for Allah.4 Therefore, under the shari'a, all current and historic Muslim acquisitions everywhere, including the United States, belong to the ummah, in trust for Allah.
Warnings, warnings, and more warnings.....this is an excellent summer read.....don't stick your head in the sand like Obama.
How about their reluctance to allow non-Muslims to continue breathing?”
there it is, bottom line. moreover, their resolute, single-minded commitment to DISallow all “infidels” to continue breathing.
...head in the sand? I think he's very much in concert with islamists.
The head-choppers and their cheering section on the left should both be deported.
Liberals totally ignore the stone-age treatment of Muslim women and intolerance of everyone and anything not islam.
Maybe these high priests of PC could define “racist” or “racism” so we little people know how to properly bow and pay our repsects.
Excellent analysis! I have long that that the oil was the Muslim/OPEC weapon of sharia law. We simply cannot live with those people and their evil ways.

You don’t have to work so hard to prove your anti-homosexuality. Nobody is keeping score.
He gave valid illustrations of his reasoning and added “and so on”. It’s wasn’t the entire list. He was under no obligation to rant on for an hour listing every grievance civilized men can have against Islam, or place them in an order you approve. The point is he gets it.
I’m pleased he has figured out what side is wrong and what side isn’t. That’s all that counts. Quibbling over whether he expressed it just as you would demand, or considers factors you wouldn’t, is petty.
I didn’t mean to indicate he isn’t....he is very much in concert with Islam. Read the book or if you like I can send you via FRmail the 18 pages I have that tell how the WOT has become a war to deep six America in part through the price of oil.
Good for Ian.
Except that McEwan's information is wrong. Islamic culture is exactly what a culture becomes following McEwan homosexual lifestyle.
"And I myself despise Islamism, because it wants to create a society that I detest, based on religious belief, on a text, on lack of freedom for women, intolerance towards homosexuality and so on - we know it well." - Ian McEwan
Excerpt from: The Sexual Rage Behind Islamic Terror
Socially segregated from women, Arab men succumb to homosexual behavior. But, interestingly enough, there is no word for "homosexual" in their culture in the modern Western sense. That is because having sex with boys, or with effeminate men, is seen as a social norm. Males serve as available substitutes for unavailable women. (snip)
McEwan is the pot calling the kettle black!
I despise Islam, its pagan god Allah, its tyrannical pedophile Mohammad, and all of the sick pukes who use it as an excuse to hurt others. At its very best, Islam is a vile, vulgar religion, created by demons. Call me what you want. I am right about Islam, and right to despise it.
In McEwan’s case there is an a element of self-interest there. The rest of us get the tripartite choice: convert/accept dhimmitude/die. As a homosexual who who is not identifiably one of the ‘people of the Book’ since he sneers at all scriptures, McEwan gets the choice convert and go celibate/ die.
McEwan recognised that similar views were held by some Christian hardliners in America.
"I find them equally absurd," he said. "I don't like these medieval visions of the world according to which God is coming to save the faithful and to damn the others. But those American Christians don't want to kill anyone in my city, that's the difference."
Christian hardliners in America advocate lack of freedom for women? Really! That's absurd..........intolerance towards homosexuality? No, intolerant of their lifestyle being forced down our throat
“intolerance towards homosexuality “
Someone better tell the Islamists their ashnas aren’t kosher.
