FoxNewsChannel Megyn Kelly just now (9:15am CST) reported as breaking news that the Supreme Court will not hear the appeal from the Texas group who sued to stop the DHS from building the border fence......
Build the fence and don’t stop until it’s done even if construction has to go 24/7.
hear ya brother, one small victory for the USA

PING!
Woo hoo! That means we can expect them to build the fence before the end of the year doesn’t it? < / sarcasm >
As I’ve said before, I’ll believe that “fences don’t work,” as these people deceitfully claim, when they take the fences down around the White House.
—> Pinglist PING <—
Heh heh, I hear ‘ya.
Amazing how we the people have surrendered our freedoms and national security to the courts? I don’t think this is what our fore fathers had in mind...
I'll take anything I can get from the Supremes these days.
However, the stonewalling continues by the rockheads in our national legislature.

Ha Ha Ha - good point!
Do you recall the above? It was President Lincoln who said it.
We may not perish from this earth; but neither will we be a “government of the people, by the people, for the people”-— thanks to illegal aliens and those “Americans” who support them.

BREAKING NEWS!
Good point!
I’ve since learned that the ruling was actually based on an Arizona court ruling involving a two mile section of fence, not Texas. Not sure if or hw this might affect any other part of the border even though I suspect that it will positively affect other areas of the border.
Wages will be confiscated once the illegals are deported...
[ /sarcasm off ]
“SCOTUS Refuses to Hear Border Fence Case”
The same court that inferred the rights of our citizenry upon unlawful combatants. I don’t understand how the same people can be so wrong one week and so correct the next.
Enviro-wacko group. There all from the state of Greendung.
They’re
BTTT
It’ll be interesting to see how things go from here. This is one obstacle down, but I doubt it’s the only one.
“Defenders of Wildlife,” who was the main plaintiff in this suit, are a very well-funded umbrella group for a lot of enviro-nuts and are dedicated full-time to litigation to stop government or private projects like this. They could give even a Duncan Hunter Administration “a case of the slows.”
thanks for the ping!
Duncan Hunter promised to have the entire fence, DOUBLE FENCE, completed in 6 months. He would have had MULTIPLE contractors working individually, at the same time, on many individual segments.
Our borders could have been effectively secured on 9/12.
Unsecured borders post-9/11 are every indication to me that the bigger picture is more important to this administration. No point in securing the border between the US and Mexico/Canada when the intent is to secure the PERIMETER of the continent.
Seeing the bigger NAU picture is merely a matter of connecting the dots. Unfortunately MOST Americans are clueless or busy focusing on the individual ‘dots’ of most importance to them. Which is, IMO, exactly as planned.
I’m not splitting hairs anymore either. I just don’t have many to spare.
Yeah.
They had our very own version of the Berlin Wall in mind, eh?
And f'n "security" cameras everywhere.
It is madness for free citizens to support building a wall across our border.
Especially when we have the power to enforce our laws against illegals - but we don't.
The Wall, like gun registration and a host of other do-gooder, feel-good or revenue-enhancment laws, will be mostly be used against our own citizens.
Can anyone say, "Checkpoint Carlos?"
Guess that doesn't work either.
Must’ve been a liberal Texas group funded by George Soreass.

Nothing will change unless right-minded people truly get fed up enough to stand and say, “No more.” Given the liberals’ iron grip on the infostructure and the courts, it would have to be a truly significant number of people.
MM
What are you going on about? The Berlin Wall (been there) was built by a Communist nation to keep its people in. That's not the purpose of what is being built on our southern border. Much of what's being built won't keep anyone from crossing, it's vehicle barriers designed to stop environmental damage to places like Organ Pipe National Monument. Other barriers are designed to channel people to areas that can be effectively controlled by BP agents.
The wall/fence/barriers on our southern border are not there to hinder US citizens crossing into Mexico. I don't know of anyone routinely migrating to Mexico from the US in-between POEs, do you?
As for "Checkpoint Carlos", (been there, too) we already have those established. They are called ports of entry, and are the legal crossing points for citizens of both nations. And they've been there for a lot of years. And one more thing? They ain't nothing like the real Checkpoints Alpha, Bravo, and Charlie. You haven't lived until you've made your way through them.
And you're right...most people are completely unaware.
I was just thinking this morning about those ...throughout the years....who saw this coming and stood in the gap for as long as they could....who tried to make a difference.
May God bless their efforts.....it bought us some time....
But unless something or someone turns this around quickly, time will have run out.
Thank-you Kimberly GG for all your posts.
You and a handful of other Freepers keep me hopeful....or at least comforted that I do not stand alone.
Fences don’t work if you don’t take away the incentives to scale them. They do make life a bit more difficult though and that makes them part of the solution.
True words of wisdom. IMO more and more American people are waking up in a new world every day and finding that they have been suavely lied to and fitted with a nose ring and are being led down the path as mindless sheep to socialism and a Marxist form of government. America cannot keep up this assault much longer on its freedom and constitutional form of self-government.

Why isn’t there a ‘virtual fence’ around the White House?
Actually, there is. And a physical fence. And a fence of security personnel.
The same triad we need on the southern border, not coincidently...
Frankly I am fed up with the liberaltarians out there who want to live in denial about legitimate security concerns. Oh, and to really enforce illegal immigration laws that means that government needs to burrow into several places where we don't need it.
Nice tagline but I’d change Ginburgization to Ginzburgization
What’s this! Is this a sudden outbreak of common sense from SCOTUS?

I agree that fences are flawed but dont tell the Israelis that WALLS dont work.
It can't happen here. It can't happen here. It can't happen here.
It can't happen here...
Good news for a change!!

National security = border security
By Congressman Duncan Hunter
Since construction of the San Diego border fence started in 1996, the smuggling of people and narcotics in this area has decreased by more than 90 percent.
Violent crime is down by 53 percent, according to FBI statistics, and vehicle drug drive-throughs have been eliminated altogether.
There are also significantly fewer apprehensions in the San Diego sector due to fewer crossing attempts.
In Yuma, Ariz., where almost 30 miles of fencing has been completed to date, there have been similar results.
In 2006, before the start of fence construction, there were 119,000 apprehensions in this sector.
By the next year, once fence construction started, there were 81,000 fewer arrests
_________________________________________________________
I live in San Diego, 15 miles north of the largest and busiest border crossing in the world.
The fence built east of it and will continue on is needed.
Some sitting 1,000 miles from the border don’t have a clue nor does their city have to pay out tens of millions of dollars a year on social services for illegals along with their crime.
There's plenty of cheap labor down there. Why not hire all the illegals, pay them decent wages, and let them build from the Mexican side! Use the incarcerated ones from all us prisons, on the US side, for free, then send them home.
Have the SeaBees and the Construction guys from the Army and Marines to supervise, and provide technical and logistical support. Place armed troops along the border to sort them out!
I would think a lot of folk would go help for free! Plus, a few judges could assign some wayward yutes to help alongside the rest.
We should make it a national priority, but Jorge won't go along, and Juan wants to play in the La Raza sandbox!
First, most illegals are not coming here for work, they think this is their country.
They are not going to shut out other Mexicans.
Second, the fence is built with heavy machenry, tech support, and a sophsticated operation. This is not a simple fence.
We have had troops at the border but to do this job would take tens of thousands.
About time.
Nothing is more important to a nation's survival than maintaining its sovereignty. Without that first, there is no nation.
